A few days ago, an XDA member stumbled upon a neat trick. If you love Google Now or don’t have Jelly Bean and can’t access it yet, then this is for you. Using Gtalk, simpy add user, “guru@googlelabs.com” – then, ask away! Guru can give you answers to basic questions just like Google Now. So far, it handles sports, weather, word definitions, translations, web queries, and calculations.

Go into the future, much like Google Now, maybe we can expect greater and more advanced things to come from Guru. For now, it’s a neat little trick that some of you should enjoy.

With the ways to communicate with the people we love continuously growing, we would like to hear which way is so far, your favorite. There’s the ever-classic text message, old fashioned phone call, and of course the newest IM applications such as Gtalk and Facebook Instant Messenger. Unless it’s for business, I honestly can’t remember the last time I took to the phone to see what my friends were up to. Personally, it’s all about Gtalk.

Let us know which mode is your favorite in the day to day grind.

Here is the most recent status report that was last updated at 6:50AM. I would guess that it will be changing shortly if the Google team did indeed fix the issue. Is it back up for you?
