During this evening’s CES opening keynote, NVIDIA tossed out a handful of major announcements surrounding Android TV, Google Assistant, and their SHIELD platform. Not only did NVIDIA tell us about their high-powered and feature-packed new SHIELD TV unit, they also introduced the NVIDIA Spot, a Google Assistant extender that brings you voice control over your home from room to room.

Actions, if you didn’t know the specific term, are the things Google Home can do. Today, the device is receiving support for a lot more of them, including Actions to work with 3rd-party services such as Domino’s pizza, WebMD, The Bartender, and many others. (more…)
A few days ago, folks began noticing that you could link Netflix and Google Photos on your Google Home. Now, it’s totally official from Google and saying, “OK Google, play Stranger Things from Netflix on my TV” is a real thing. (more…)
Ever since Amazon launched Echo, every other company in the field of digital assistants has been playing catch up.
