Verizon Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge Get Update With One Talk Support

The Galaxy S8 might be the talk of the town at the moment, but updates are still flowing to devices like the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge. Verizon’s S7 line-up is receiving new software today that introduces support for Big Red’s One Talk service and the latest version of the Amazon Shopping app.

Unlocked Galaxy S7, Which Samsung Hates and Never Updates, Received March’s Security Patch That Isn’t Nougat

The unlocked Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge are the absolute worst phones you could buy if you care about timely updates, current security patches, and fun new versions of Android that include new features and all that jazz. I say that because the US unlocked Galaxy S7 I have (and the S7 Edge I don’t own) is almost always behind in updates, still doesn’t have Android Nougat, and only today, received March’s security patch. Verizon’s Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge Get Nougat Updates Today!

That time has finally arrived, Verizon Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge owners. Your Android Nougat update is here.

The update should start rolling out today, according to Verizon support pages. Specifically, the Samsung Galaxy S7 will see software version G930VVRU4BQA2, while the Galaxy S7 Edge will get G935VVRU4BQA2. Verizon hasn’t said how big the update is, but it’ll likely be large. Make sure you have plenty of battery and data remaining on your account before you download this guy over 4G.
