A new update for the Samsung Galaxy S4 on Verizon has been approved (and may even be rolling out already) as build VRUEMK2. The update appears to be pretty minor while addressing a few bugs here and there. Things like Email connectivity have been improved, along with making data roaming more consistent in Canada and Mexico, and better connections while using proxy servers.
But maybe most importantly, the update makes it so that non-Samsung chargers will work correctly with the phone. For those of you with multiple chargers lying around from various phones, throw yourselves a little party. (more…)
Shortly after beginning to push the Android 4.3 update for the Galaxy S4 on AT&T as build 1337UCUEMJ9, issues arose causing the rollout to be stopped. Parties involved reportedly confirmed that there were issues and that they were investigating them, though no new timeline for a rollout was given. According to an update to AT&T’s Galaxy S4 support page, today is the day that 4.3 will resume, only this time as build I337UCUEMK2. (more…)
We’re not even to Thanksgiving yet and there are deals to be had all over this vast internet. If the two tablet deals we told you about already weren’t doing the trick because a new phone is what you really had been holding out for, take a look at Best Buy’s pre-Black Friday deals. One includes the Samsung Galaxy S4 for free from Verizon, AT&T, and Sprint in any color you can find them in. The featured version on BBY’s site comes in “Arctic Blue” which is apparently new. But you’ll also find black, white, red, purple, and brown variants depending on carrier.
If you are an AT&T customer and really wanted the Galaxy S4 Active instead of the original 2013 flagship, it’s included in the free deal as well. (more…)

The T-Mobile Galaxy S4 is receiving its Android 4.3 update today. No, this isn’t Kit Kat. You would need a “4″ in there to replace the “3.” But either way, it’s an update! People questioned them because the updates potentially needed an extra set of eyes or two before being released, but Google said to us directly that they would be working “very closely” with both HTC and Samsung to make things happen. So far, they have delivered on that promise. Android 4.3 showed up within a week of being announced. Today, we’re less than a month out from the unveiling of Android 4.4 “Kit Kat” and the HTC One GPE is already seeing the update. (more…)
