After teasing their Super Bowl XLVII commercial earlier in the week, Samsung has gone ahead and posted up the full 2-minute spot ahead of today’s big game. As expected, it features Paul Rudd and Seth Rogen as the “next big thing,” a slogan Samsung has used for some time to describe its Galaxy line.

The spot is decent. It’s two minutes long, features a cameo by LeBron James, includes a couple of chuckle-worthy moments, and is directed by Jon Favreau.

This morning, owners of the Galaxy Note 10.1 from Samsung have started to see the Android 4.1.2 update hit their tablets. It’s been a bit of a wait, but it brings a lot of bug fixes and also fixes the Exynos exploit that we briefly touched on earlier last month.

Soooo, we spent a couple of minutes with the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 that was announced yesterday for Verizon. You can tell in the video that I’m struggling to come up highlights (or mystified by the 4G LTE logo on the back), and that’s because this device has been out for quite some time already as a WiFi-only tablet. This version simply has a 4G LTE – the only difference. 

Inside, though, you’ll find a 1.4GHz quad-core processor, rear and front cameras (5MP and 1.9MP), an HD 10.1″ display, and Samsung’s TouchWiz tablet UI. As with the Note 2, the Note 10.1 utilizes the S Pen and its powerful processor to allow you to multi-task and be more productive.

At launch, it’ll have Jelly Bean, we just don’t know exactly when that launch will be.

The Note 10.1 isn’t anything new, but for anyone who does pick this new variant up, you will be able to utilize Samsung’s full premium suite of applications, plus the benefits of 4G LTE. 

The tablet features a 1280 x 800 10.1″ display, 1.4GHz quad-core processor, Jelly Bean, S-Pen, a 5MP back-facing camera, along with a 1.9MP front-facing shooter.

As far as release dates, we only have “this month,” so if you plan on picking one up, we will keep you posted once we have an official date. If you have seen reviews of the device, you might already know it’s not the most highly praised Android tablet at all, but if you’re bought into Sammy’s app eco-system, it isn’t a bad choice.

Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 Launches Tomorrow in the U.S. is a post from: Droid Life

Samsung announced this morning that the Galaxy Note 10.1 is finally ready to arrive, only this time it has been beefed up with a 1.4GHz quad-core processor and 2GB of RAM. This tablet was originally announced back at MWC in February, but for whatever reason, Samsung decided that it needed to upgrade it in several areas in order for it to make a splash. We aren’t sure if the jump from dual-core to quad-core along with doubling of RAM is going to do that. To be fair, they also upgraded the rear camera to 5MP.

The device runs Ice Cream Sandwich with Samsung’s TouchWiz UI, and includes most of the selling features that were attached to the Galaxy S3, like Smart Stay, new AllShare Play, Pop-Up Play, etc.

The new Note 10.1 should arrive in Korea, Germany, the US and the UK, any day now. The rollout to the rest of the world will happen gradually after that. No pricing information was announced today.

Furthermore, Learning Hub features a learning management system that provides schedule and performance management tools for users of all age-groups to enjoy learning at their own pace.

In Korea, the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, China and Singapore, Learning Hub service is available at the time of the launch of GALAXY Note 10.1. Learning Hub will be downloadable via Samsung Apps in more than 20 countries by the end of 2012.

Superior Hardware Performance

GALAXY Note 10.1 is designed with advanced hardware technology, including a 1.4GHz quad-core processor and 2GB of internal RAM. Seamless multi-tasking, high-standard graphics, and blazing-fast performance without any lag are essential features of GALAXY Note 10.1. The device also includes a 5-megapixel main camera and a 1.9-megapixel front-facing camera.

Several other features have been added to GALAXY Note 10.1 including Smart Stay, which tracks the user’s eyes to ensure that the screen is always on while being looked at, and Pop Up Play, which allows the user to watch a video anywhere on their screen while simultaneously running other tasks. With AllShare® Play, users can share content with a large group in real-time by connecting GALAXY Note 10.1 to Samsung HD TVs, mobile tablets, laptops, and other consumer electronic devices on the same network. With AllShare Group Cast, users can also share and collaborate on documents, presentations, or images without loading the files separately.

GALAXY Note 10.1 comes in three connectivity options: a WiFi-only version, a WiFi-and-3G HSPA-Plus connectivity version at launch, and a WiFi-and-LTE version later this year. GALAXY Note 10.1 is available in Korea, Germany, the US and the UK while it will gradually roll-out to other global markets starting in August.

Samsung Relaunches the Galaxy Note 10.1 With Quad-core Processor and 2GB RAM, Arriving This Month is a post from: Droid Life

We don’t know for sure yet what Samsung has planned to announce at its event on August 15, but this new leak might gives us a pretty good idea. The 10.1″ successor to the Galaxy Note is no secret, it’s been back and forth with being released many times, but now the device looks to be finished. A site named The Brave Post has gotten their hands on a white version of the tablet and has a lot of pictures and information to go along with it.

A 1.4GHz quad-core processor goes along with 2GB of RAM, whereas earlier specs for the device only had 1GB installed. A 5MP camera on the back, HSPA+ radio and of course support for Samsung’s S-Pen round out the larger Note. One interesting piece of information the site reports is that the tablet will act as a companion to your phone, allowing you to send text messages from it or use it as a speaker on calls.

The only question left is, when will we see the device? If Samsung announces the device at their Unpacked event August 15 then it might be anywhere from days to weeks to when we will see it. Hopefully it will be sooner rather than later.

Attendees of MWC this year were lucky enough to get a sneak peak at Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet. The device would come sold later this year with the S-Pen stylus and a dual-core 1.4GHz processor for all of your tablet needs. The only issue, is that the device didn’t have a designated slot for the stylus, so losing the S-Pen could become an issue for owners down the road. Samsung probably received enough guff over the lack of thought in the design and decided to recreate the tablet with a slot just for the stylus. And to sweeten the deal, they even threw in a new quad-core chip. 

Here in the States, we’re still waiting on a date and a pricing point for the newest addition to the Galaxy family, but once we hear one we’ll let you know.
