The US market may not be Sony’s priority, but mounting evidence suggests the Xperia Z2 may make its way to at least one stateside carrier in Q4. Press images of a Verizon-branded variant of the Z2 showed up twice on Sony’s website last month, and despite vehement denials by company spokespeople, @evleaks revealed yesterday that the Z2 may launch on Big Red as the Sony Sirius Viv (D6503). Just when you thought the LG G3 had been leaked in its entirety, the proverbial floodgates open yet again. Over the weekend, famed Twitter personality @evleaks posted multi-angle press images of the G3 in gold, white, and titanium. If you’ll recall, those are the colors expected to be available at launch. Yesterday, @evleaks tweeted the alleged specs of the Xperia Z2 tablet, and it’s turning out to be quite the powerhouse. The Xperia Z2 tablet will be powered by a Snapdragon 800 SoC and 3GB of RAM, and will feature a 10.1-inch, WUXGA (1920×1200) Triluminos display, an 8MP rear camera and 2MP front-facing shooter, a 6000 mAh battery, and 16GB of storage plus a microSD expansion slot. Oh, and it’ll be waterproof, ship with Android 4.4 KitKat, and maintain a thinness of 6.4mm. How’s that for overachieving? (more…)
Over the weekend, plenty of new rumors dropped on the interwebs for the HTC M8, the successor of the HTC One. Leading the charge is evleaks, who posted two separate tweets surrounding the M8; one regarding its looks and another concerning the launch of the device. According to the tweets, the “M8 looks strikingly like the M7 (One),” and we should see a launch of the device in New York City around late March. (more…)
