I have played Monopoly on my phone and it isn’t too bad. Sometimes the animations are a bit unnecessary, since I’m more into the strategy of the game and not the looks, but it’s still a classic.

Google Play Holiday Sales Round Up – NFS: Most Wanted, Jet Set Radio, and More is a post from: Droid Life

Big day for apps, as EA Games just released Need for Speed Most Wanted to Google Play. From what we can see in the trailer and press images, the game looks like one major piece of work – highly detailed sports cars, extreme environments, and the ability to compete with friends across multiple platforms such as iOS, Android, and Kindle devices. 

The game also brings a pretty high price tag at $6.99, but for the bad boy in all of us, it’s most likely one of the best extreme driving experiences you can get on mobile. Check the trailer below and get hyped up with me.

Need for Speed Most Wanted Released to Google Play, You Might Want to Hold On is a post from: Droid Life

EA announced at the recent GamesCon press conference that they are going to bring their Origin game download portal to Android, expanding its reach from the PC. Origin is similar to Steam where games are downloaded directly from a web portal to the device, and EA thinks they have a big enough fan base to sell their games through their own service. Currently Star Wars: The Old Republic and Battlefield 3 are some of the top games being sold through Origin.

If Origin does come to Android, all of the EA Games in the Play Store now would probably disappear, and from then on out only be sold through the Origin application. A tentative February 2013 date was thrown out but they were not very firm on that. EA doesn’t have the best reputation in the Android community as of late, would you buy any games through Origin on your phone or tablet?

Start up your engines race fans, EA Games is teaming up with Firemonkey to bring Real Racing 3 to mobile devices. If you’re a fan of more realistic racing situations and not all of that silly drag racing nitrous oxide tough-guy stuff, then this is more up your alley. With developers bringing real cars with real specs and real tracks with real racers to the same game, this is going to be a mobile racing experience like no other. 

Release is set for later this year, but until then, enjoy the trailer.

EA Games and Firemonkey Bringing Real Racing 3 to Android, Fasten your Seat Belts is a post from: Droid Life

Not that there haven’t been gambling applications on Android before, but today, EA is bringing the full World Series of Poker experience to our phones. For the low price of free, you can jump into hands of Texas Hold ‘Em, Omaha or other game types with your friends or people playing the application around the world. Win some hands and get some earnings and this app allows you to compete for virtual bracelets and those earnings can go towards buying in at higher-stakes tables.

There’s just one catch: you have to login to the application with your Facebook account. At the time there’s no way to play without giving them your information so that alone might be a deal breaker for some. The developers are promising a guest mode that will work without Facebook at some point but you will have to wait for that. If you just have to have your gamblin fix, hit the link below.

For reasons unknown, EA Games is listing their popular titles Mass Effect: Infiltrator and NBA Jam for just a single buck. Seeing as how Mass Effect is usually listed for $6.99 and Jam goes for $4.99, you may want to snatch these up before they return to their usual prices. Both titles are rated quite well in the Play Store, so you know you will at least be getting your dollar’s worth.

EA has placed Mass Effect Infiltrator on the Google Play Store and it’s another one of those must-have mobile shooter games. If you’re big into Sci-Fi and over-the-shoulder or “third person” games, then this is going to make your fingers quite excited. And before anyone asks, yes the Galaxy Nexus is supported by the game. You play as rogue agent Randall Ezno who must take on an entire army of  Cerebrus baddies. Oh, what fun you will have. The game does cost a hefty $7, but this game may just be worth it. If you try it out, let us know how you like it.

All you Sim fanatics can head into the Android Market today and pick up EA’s latest creation for free. Sims FreePlay brings the classic alternate-life game straight to your handset. Design your dream house, meet the Sim-girl/boy of your dreams, have a great career and all the other things Sims like to do. Once you download the app, there is a whopping 600+MB download, but hey, this is Sims we’re talking about.

There have been so many Scrabble clones on the Market lately, the most popular being Words with Friends and WordSmith. Both are great, and deploy all the usual rules and features one would come to expect from a Scrabble-esque game. Being able to smack talk the competition with in-game chatting, cross platform competitiveness, and being able to play multiple games at the same time is just a few of the features the official Scrabble game has. 

Words with Friends has been plagued since the early days with a seemingly endless amount of development issues which Zynga still seems to be working on, so hopefully Scrabble doesn’t have the same fate. It’s starting to be a great month for games on Android, especially now that all of those missing EA games have started to return. Back in February, EA decided to pull their lineup of games from the Android Market for no apparent reason, which led many upon many users to take to the interwebz to give them a piece of their mind. One user states (which we found hilarious):

I PAID FOR A PRODUCT!! I EXPECT UNFETTERED ACCESS TO THE PRODUCT 24/7, 365 WITHOUT UNDUE INTERRUPTION AND WITHOUT HAVING TO PAY FOR IT AGAIN!

We do agree wholeheartedly though. Well now everyone can start beginning the lookout for those missing titles. A simple search of EA Games in the Market delivered me to what looks like all of their games: Sims 3, NFS, Bejeweled2, Worms, and some other classic games. So go check the Market and see if your games are back.

We’re hearing that games are showing up, but some are not allowing users to install.  We’ll have to keep an eye on it…
