This week on the Droid Life Show episode 44, we talked through the Nexus 5′s recent camera update, discussed the point of the new Google Play Edition devices, what a Nokia Android phone would be like, our favorite apps and games, and more. As always, it was a colorful time filled with puppies, debates and Cappadonna lyrics. Or maybe that was just this post.
The whole crew was in attendance in what will more than likely be our second to last show of the year. Our last will be next week, since X-mas, New Years, and CES are the weeks following. We’ll be live at our usual time of 6PM Pacific.
In the mean time, catch up on this week’s fun. (more…)
The Droid Life Show: Episode 44 kicks off tonight at its usual time of 6PM PST, 9PM EST. This is our second to last show of the 2013 year, and you know what, we are quite saddened by this. But don’t worry, we think 2014 has major things in store for the Android world, and we have our arms wide open for whatever it is. Tonight, the full DL crew will be in attendance, covering Google’s blitzkrieg of device releases yesterday (we should have ours in hand soon), and a vast variety of other subjects. You won’t want to miss it. (more…)
The Droid Life Show is back tonight at its usual time, 6PM Pacific, with the full DL staff in attendance. Tonight we will be covering all of the Moto X Cyber Monday craziness, Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S5 spec rumors and if we think it will be an instant winner, chat up anything we bought during the holiday sales, and go over all of the newest apps we have been addicted to. With the full crew back in action, it should be a great show. (more…)
With the long holiday weekend upon us, Tim and I have gathered here today, live in front of an audience, in celebration of Android and all that we are thankful for. Actually, it’s just the Droid Life Show episode 42, but it’s important dammit. We have a Nexus 5 review to talk about, the site redesign that went live Monday, a bunch of holiday deals on the horizon, which phone(s) is dominating the DL community at the moment, 4.4 updates to a variety of phones/tablets, and more.
Today’s show kicks off around 3:15PM Pacific (6:15PM Eastern). A live video broadcast will be embedded below closer to the start of the show. Until then, feel free to hang out in the Droid Life IRC room. (more…)
We had a special edition Tato Show this week to take The Droid Life Show’s place, given that our fearless leader was unavailable. Our very good friend MKBHD was available to join us, so myself and the rest of the DL squad chit chatted with Marques and had a good time. We discussed Marques’ recent G Flex video that went viral all over the web, as well as talked Kit Kat on the Moto X, and who we believe will be creating the next Nexus smartphone. It was a good time. (more…)
On Wednesday afternoon, we had a special edition of The Droid Life Show, which took place at 2pm in the afternoon instead of our usual 6pm time slot. If the change screwed you up, our apologies, but it was necessary. During Episode 41, we covered everything we could about the Nexus 5 and Kit Kat. We talked about what we love, we talked about what we don’t love. Beyond that, Kellen sported some Google Glass and gave us his impressions so far, we chatted up the new Google Experience Launcher, and lots more fun banter. (more…)
We’re back once again this week with another episode of the Droid Life Show, however, we’re running this week’s live broadcast at a special 2PM Pacific (5PM Eastern) time slot. Due to a scheduling conflict, we’ll miss our regularly scheduled time, but since the Nexus 5, Kit Kat, and Google Glass have been in our possession for a few days, we didn’t want to leave you hanging. We definitely have a lot to talk about in terms of these three items. So, join us at 2PM Pacific for episode 41!
Today’s show kicks off around 2:00PM Pacific (5:00PM Eastern). A live video broadcast will be embedded below closer to the start of the show. Until then, feel free to hang out in the Droid Life IRC room. (more…)
On the eve of the Nexus 5 and Kit Kat announcement, four gentlemen gathered this past Wednesday on Google+ for a night of discussion surrounding Android, Google, and corn dog nipple stroking. It was a night we will never forget.
On episode 40 of the Droid Life Show, we went over our last thoughts on what to expect from the now-announced Nexus 5 and Kit Kat, plus went over why Ron was actually completely right about Google’s own take on its Nexus program. There was no event, there was no hype. Google simply released the device and let the public do the rest. It was interesting and was the last thing we thought the company would do for a major release of Android and a brand new Nexus device. Sorry we ever doubted you, Ron. (more…)
