The Droid Life Show: Special Nexus 6, 9, and Lollipop Edition

Today, well, was a massive day for Android fans. We got not only Android 5.0 “Lollipop,” but three new Nexus devices as well (Nexus 6, Nexus 9, and Nexus Player). So because there is much to talk to about and scheduling conflicts are stopping us from running the Droid Life Show at our regular time tonight, we are doing an early special episode! Yes, the DL Show will go on, only it’s happening in a few minutes with little notice to you all. Thankfully, you can subscribe to us in a number of ways below, so that you shouldn’t miss a thing.

DL Show Episode 70 Walks With the Dead This Weekend

The team gathered on Wednesday evening for episode 70 of the DL Show, a show that focused on the press event from HTC that took place earlier in the day. HTC, for those who missed it, announced their GoPro competitor called RE, along with a new phone with a 13MP front camera. It was an interesting press event, to say the least.

After jumping through HTC talk, it was on to the latest in the Nexus 6 and Nexus 9 sagas, new leaks for the DROID TURBO, our iPhone 6 review, and more! As always, the show was a lot of fun.  (more…)

The Droid Life Show: Episode 70

The crew is back tonight for episode 70 of the Droid Life Show. With HTC doing their thing today on stage in NYC, we will undoubtedly have opinions on what went down. Outside of that, there are plenty of Nexus rumors floating around to talk about – both Nexus 6 and Nexus 9 – along with new happenings on the DROID TURBO front, the fact that we could see Android L within a week or two, early thoughts on the Xperia Z3 Compact, increased Moto 360 battery life, apps and games of the moment, our final thoughts on the iPhone 6 (in case anyone cares), and potentially a whole bunch more.

The Droid Life Show Episode 69 Clinched MLB Postseason Berth

This past Wednesday night, Episode 69 of The Droid Life Show solidified its berth into the MLB playoffs. How we did it, we have no idea. Regardless, we will take on all teams who try to stop us from making it to the World Series. In Android-related news, we actually had quite a few things to cover this past week, including our final thoughts on the new Moto X and Moto 360, as well as our take on all of the new Nexus 9 rumors that have popped up.

Other topics of discussion included the reported death of Android Silver, Kellen’s iPhone 6 impressions, the latest rumors on the DROID Turbo, AT&T’s offering of the Galaxy Alpha from Samsung, and Amazon’s announcement of numerous new Kindle tablets that no one can now remember.

The Droid Life Show Episode 68 Will Help You Decide Which iPhone to Get

The Droid Life Show: Episode 68

The Droid Life Show returns tonight for episode 68, with a focus on the last two weeks of announcements from the likes of Motorola, Samsung, and Apple. If you were looking for a show filled with scorching topics, this would be it.

We’ll likely start the night off with talk of Motorola’s new happenings – the Moto X, Moto 360, and more. From there, we will catch you up on Samsung’s Galaxy Note 4 unveiling, before diving into Apple’s reinvention of well, everything. Your Labor Day Plans Now Include the Droid Life Show Episode 67

The crew joined forces once again this week for episode 67 of the DL Show, focusing on next week more than anything, since a handful of companies have products to unveil. For those not familiar with this time of year, we are talking IFA in Berlin, a major tech conference that always leads us into the fall season. Samsung, LG, Asus, and Sony all have products to announce during the conference, plus Motorola is doing their own thing as well, here in the States.

Topics on this week’s show include a recap of the latest on the Moto X+1 and Moto 360. We also watched as LG unveiled their new round smartwatch, the G Watch R, live on air. Samsung’s Galaxy Note 4 launch, news out of the Cyanogen camp, plenty of carrier moves (Verizon, Sprint, and T-Mobile all had recent announcements), and a list of top apps and games from the last two weeks, all made the show.
