Google’s Daydream VR experience is still so new that there aren’t many phones that currently work with it. It first launched in November only on the Pixel and Pixel XL, but in recent weeks it has expanded to others, including the Moto Z and Moto Z Force. Of course, in the near future, the list will grow even quicker. By the end of 2017, most flagships phones that launch will likely have all of the necessary components to work with Daydream. (more…)
Own one of the few Daydream-ready phones, but have yet to pick-up Google’s Daydream View? Now is the time! From today through February 25, you can buy a Daydream View from the Google Store for just $49. That’s a $30 discount on the best mobile VR experience you can get.
We reviewed the Daydream View back in November and really did call it “pretty sweet!” The experience tops other mobile VR units because it includes a little motion controller that allows you to interact with games in a way that others don’t. It’s also really comfortable and is getting better each week with new apps and games. (more…)

It’s November 10 and Google’s Daydream View headset is now available for purchase. I’ve been able to spend most of the past week with one to familiarize myself with the virtual reality headset and take in some content, like games and other experiences. As of today, Daydream View may only work with Pixel and Pixel XL, but it’s off to a great start for the mobile VR category.
Let’s take a deeper look in our Daydream View review. (more…)
According to Verizon, the Pixel and Pixel XL are receiving an update today to build NDE63X. My guess is that this is November’s security patch, but Verizon’s changelog doesn’t necessarily say so. What it does say is to expect a Bluetooth fix, VR improvements, and a WiFi Calling option for New Mexico.
