I don’t really know what to say with this one other than, yep, the failure that is/was the Amazon Fire Phone is finally priced where it should have been out of the gate. For $199, and without a contract or AT&T involvement, you can buy Amazon’s first, ultra-gimmicky phone.
This unlocked model includes 32GB of storage and works on the following GSM networks, according to Amazon – “All GSM Networks including AT&T, T-Mobile, Walmart Family Mobile, MetroPCS, Brightspot, Simple Mobile, Mobal, Net10, Straight Talk, h20 Wireless, and OneSimCard.” CDMA networks like Sprint and Verizon are not compatible. Motorola unveiled its much-anticipated Cyber Monday deal this evening, announcing that they would be slashing the price of the new Moto X (2nd Gen) by $140, while also discounting accessories that you buy with it by 30%. If we do a little math, that drops the $499 Moto X (2nd gen) down to $359 without a contract. That, my friends, is a really good deal. We are talking a phone that is up for phone of the year in the minds of most tech reviewers.
If you decide you don’t want to go the off-contract route, Motorola and Verizon are also discounting the Big Red variant to $0.01 when you sign your life away for two years. (more…)
You ready for day-2 of Motorola’s $150-off Moto X MotoMaker promo code giveaway?
To make up for a botched Cyber Monday deal, Motorola decided to re-do this incredible full retail price discount on their 2013 flagship by handing out promo codes over two separate days that can be redeemed within a week. This not only decreases the stress on their custom phone software, but also gives you time to finalize your custom phone. For those not familiar with the promo, $150 off the full retail price of a Moto X gets you into a 16GB version for $350 or the 32GB version for $399, and that’s without a contract. It’s most certainly the deal of the season. (more…)
After yesterday’s Cyber Monday fiasco, Motorola has unveiled their new plan to award many of you with a Moto X for $150 off the full retail price. Instead of dealing with “rushed checkouts” and a flood of traffic to their site all at once, Motorola has decided to hand out coupon codes that can be redeemed for the $150-off promo price within a week. In other words, on either Wednesday (December 4, tomorrow) or next Monday (December 9), you’ll have the chance to register for a coupon code that can later be redeemed for a custom made Moto X through MotoMaker for the discounted Cyber Monday price. Motorola would probably like to forget 2013’s Cyber Monday as quickly as possible. The day started with excitement over the Moto X deal they planned to kick off – $150 off full retail phones – but quickly turned into a disaster once their site buckled under the heavy amounts of traffic that flooded in minutes before the sale was to begin. Customers sat on their MotoMaker site for hours trying to get in orders and as they waited for some sort of word out of Motorola’s camp as to what was happening. We didn’t know much until we were 12 hours in, something their CEO is now apologizing for. (more…)
Well, folks, today didn’t exactly goes as planned if your calendar included a scheduled appearance on Motorola’s MotoMaker site. As you are all well aware, Motorola wanted to kick off a Cyber Monday deal at 9AM ET that would let you walk into a custom made Moto X for $349, which is $150 off the full retail price of their 2013 flagship. It was supposed to be the deal of the day, at least in our books. Unfortunately, we never got to the deal thanks to a massive amount of traffic flooding Motorola’s site before the deal kicked off, crashing it into oblivion. (more…)
The Cyber Monday deals aren’t over just yet, with Newegg selling LG’s new G Pad 8.3 flagship tablet for as little as
$279 $249. This tablet, the first for LG since that terrible 3D thing they did a few years back, is normally priced at $349. I’d call that a heck of a deal, especially for a tablet that is a lot like the LG G2, only in tablet form. (more…)
Amazon might be the king of Cyber Monday deals, but that’s no surprise if you consider the variety of products that can be purchased through their online shop. I will say, that it can often times be somewhat overwhelming to sift through, especially on days like today where all you want to do is find the best possible deals to spend your hard earned money on. So to hopefully help you out some, we have gone ahead and cruised through the phone listings of Verizon, AT&T, and Sprint to find you the best deals available.
In the lists below, you’ll see phones like the brand new white LG G2, Moto X in either black or white, and HTC One in a handful of colors for as little as $0.01 on new contract. You’ll also find the Nexus 5 for Sprint in either black or white for as little as $9.99 on contract.
The full retail prices can’t match what Motorola is doing today or what Google does everyday, but this is certainly an option for those who don’t mind signing a new contract. (more…)
