Vizio Introduces Portable Smart Audio: Bluetooth Speakers With Built-in Android Displays

Vizio, a company mostly know for affordable TVs, is attempting to combine both the Android and Bluetooth speaker game at the same time this year with the announcement of their new Portable Smart Audio speaker lineup. And when I say “both” I’m talking about Bluetooth speakers with built-in touch-screens that run Android 4.4 “Kit Kat” and have access to Google services. Video: Samsung Galaxy TabPro 8.4 Hands-on [CES 2014]

It’s CES, which means we are able to get our hands on the latest and greatest devices from the world’s top manufacturers. Today, we were able to meet up with Samsung at their booth in Las Vegas, and spent a few minutes with the Galaxy TabPro 8.4. There are three different models in the all-new TabPro lineup – an 8.4″, a 10.1″, and a 12.2″. Each device features almost identical specs, except for the display sizes.  (more…)

Video: Samsung Galaxy Camera 2 Hands-on [CES 2014]

A couple of weeks before CES, Samsung announced the next rendition of the Galaxy Camera, the Galaxy Camera 2. The device features the same 16.3 megapixel sensor with OIS as the original did, except Samsung was able to slim up the body, and also speed up the camera’s performance. The Galaxy Camera 2 runs Android 4.3, as well as a revamped version of Samsung’s TouchWiz UI, which was designed specifically for this device.  (more…)

Qualcomm’s AllPlay Technology Heading to Consumer Devices Later This Year

Establishing a new technological standard in today’s world is very hard to do. Qualcomm’s work on their AllPlay service is looking to create a open-source standard for wireless music transfer that can compete with Apple’s AirPlay service. Qualcomm announced at this week’s CES that we should start seeing hardware devices with AllPlay installed before the end of the year.  (more…)
