Angry Birds GO!, the Mario Kart-esque title from Rovio, will officially arrive December 11. The game will be free, as are most Angry Birds titles, and features “high-octane downhill racing, upgradable karts, tons of characters with unique special powers and a fully rendered 3D world.”
The gameplay trailer below really does remind us of Mario Kart in a way, but also upgraded thanks to better graphics and the ability to upgrade karts or pick-up super powers. There are also at least 12 different characters to choose from, though I couldn’t tell you off hand who I would go for, but still know to this day that Yoshi was my boy on Mario Kart.
Mark your calendars, Angry Birds may be back in your life at least for a minute or two. (more…)
Word on a new type of Angry Birds game hit the web back in June, with Rovio now finally giving some more insight into what the public should expect from Angry Birds Go. In essence, the game will be a kart racer, with Rovio taking the idea from a suggestion that was made by Red Bull and various online polls of Angry Birds fans. (more…)
When Rovio isn’t busy updating Angry Birds Star Wars with new bird characters or spending time making Bad Piggies fun to play, they are completely swept up in hypebeasting a new game. The newest of such is being labeled (by Rovio, mind you) “the evolution of Angry Birds.” It’s called Angry Birds Go! and from what little we have seen so far, we have our money on some type of Mario Kart-like racing game.
