You all know how much we loved the black Andru charger, but don’t get us started on how excited we are for a white edition. Remember the Andru, the handsome little Bugdroid USB charger with glowing eyes? We took a quick look at the original green version back in February, loved it, and then proceeded to give a few away. As you may recall, a new “Dark Edition” with glowing red eyes surfaced on the Andru site a couple of months ago, getting us excited all over again. Unfortunately, it went through a bit of a delay as they fine-tuned the build quality. As promised, though, it’s back and hopefully better than ever. 

Remember the Andru charger? If not, check out the quick review we did of it here. This week, it returned in a new color, black or “dark” according to the listing. As you’ll see in the pictures below, it’s the same Andru we loved from the beginning, but with a much more sinister vibe, hence the red eyes when plugged in. It has moveable arms, a soft touch finish, and comes with its own stand, just like the green version. It’ll run you $25 if you would like to purchase one.

The Andru team has informed us that this special edition charger launches on October 11. 

The Andru charger was introduced a couple of weeks back and has since taken the Android collectible world by storm. As the coolest charger you will ever find, Andru lights up while plugged in, has bendable arms, movable antennas, and is your ultimate desk companion.

If your first thought runs along the lines of “Oh, another cheap plastic accessory,” then think again. This charger is actually much higher in quality than I had imagined it would be. It is sturdy plastic and rubber, the green and white matching cord feel of the highest quality, and none of the moving parts feel as if they are on the verge of falling off. It’s a great little charger for the Android enthusiast in the building.

At $25 a pop, you may have a hard time justifying it especially with the half dozen other chargers you have lying around your house. Trust me though, as an Android fanboy, this is definitely worth it.
