Now that we know when the Series 3 Android collectibles will arrive (on Monday), we can get back to enjoying each new design that Andrew Bell has been revealing. Today’s is called Professor Skully McRivethead. I’m not about to try and understand the inspiration for this design, but I’m diggin’ it. To see it in a 360-degree view, hit up the interactive image below.
Meet Professor Skully McRivethead, Another Series 3 Android Collectible
Series 3 Android Collectibles on Sale September 24
Finally, the info we have all been waiting for! The Series 3 Android collectibles that we have been following religiously over the last few weeks will go on sale Monday, September 24 at 11:00AM ET. The Dead Zebra shop will have some, but if they sell out (and they likely will), you’ll have to take to searching through a number of online toy shops for stock. Initial orders should ship by 9/26.
Oh, and there is a the “Clear” collectible that we first posted a picture of during ComicCon. His head pops off in case you wanted to toss around the mini-green collectible for a few minutes.
Cry-on Series 3 Android Collectible, Shake the Paint Can!
Andrew Bell took a minute today to show off another Series 3 Android Collectible, the Cry-on. It’s basically an Android Krylon spray paint can that when shaken, might motivate you into tagging your office wall. OK, so there isn’t actual paint inside, but it certainly sounds and looks like it. Another fantastic bot in what appears to be the best collection yet/
In even better news, the shipments of Series 3 collectibles have cleared customs and arrived at the “magical toy cave.” That means we are days away from them shipping to retailers and then onto your doorsteps. Who’s ready?
Barista Bot and Intergalactic Series 3 Android Collectibles Revealed
Two new Series 3 Android collectibles were revealed over the last couple of days – Intergalactic and Barista Bot. The Intergalactic collectible is a take on the outfits worn by the Beastie Boys in their big hit titled “Intergalactic,” while the Barista Bot is a silly take on the Andrew Bell’s time as a barista at his sister’s coffee shop.
This series keeps getting better by the day. Hopefully we get an official release date in the next few days.
Android Series 3 “Nexus” Collectible Comes With Its Own Mini Nexus, How Cute
Andrew Bell continues to share the new Series 3 Android Collectibles over at the Dyzplastic blog, with today’s being the “Nexus” collectible. With its smokey dark translucent body, you can apparently get optimal play by placing him next to a light source. Oh, he also comes equipped with his own mini-Nexus phone that you can see in his right hand.
Still no exact date for release, but I can’t wait to see the rest.
Android Series 3 Collectibles Almost Ready for Retailers, Here is a 360-Degree Preview of 8-Ball Hustler
The Series 3 Android Collectibles have seen their share of delays, but during those periods, improvements were made that should help this be the best set yet (Ball-jointed arms, anyone?). We have good news, though! According to the series’ makers, shipments of the final product will be arriving in California today, and will then cruise through customs on their way to distribution. Once that has happened, they will ship out to retailers and hopefully onto your doorsteps a few days later. It could be another couple of weeks depending on long it takes to get through customs, but we are almost there!
Dead Zebra’s Series 03 Android Minis Coming Q3, Features Ball Jointed Arms
After what was going to be a “late July” release, we have learned this afternoon that we can expect the Series 3 Android minis to begin shipping out in Q3 instead. Due to some production holdups, the minis team fell a little behind, but ensures customers that the minis are now ready and shipments will begin in the new Q3 time frame.
First Look: Android Series 3 Collectibles
A reader of ours attended ComicCon last week in San Diego and walked away with a handful of goodies that we are beyond jealous of. He kicked it with Andrew Bell for a few minutes before diving into a set of his new Series 3 Android Collectibles. We have seen these suckers leak in blurry or rendered pictures here or there, but these are pictures of 5 of the new designs from the set in the wild.
How cool is the see-through Bugdroid with the mini Bugdroid inside? 8-Ball Bugdroid with included pool cue and hat? The owl? This is only 5 of the 16 and we are blown away, so you can imagine how anxious we are to see the rest. Said to be launching some time in late July, we cannot wait to get a hold of a couple of cases.
