Andrew Bell introduced a new set of Android collectibles this morning called the Lucky Cat Series. It’s designed by Shane Jessup as a means to “welcome in wealth, prosperity and protection to your home or business.” All meaning aside, I just want them – all of them. Actually, as a fan of the lucky cat and a feline owner who loves Android, these might be the perfect set collectibles.

There are going to be 12 available as individuals or as a complete set with commemorative box. All cats feature special accessories and a swinging arm.

The entire set will go on sale this month, though we don’t have a specific date yet.

Say Hello to the Android Mini Collectibles Lucky Cat Series, Meow. is a post from: Droid Life

To celebrate the upcoming Chinese New Year, Dyzplastic is set to release a very special edition Android Mini, with most of the units making their way to Asia. Luckily for us, there will be a very limited amount making their way into the Dead Zebra store on January 24 at 11AM. 

Each mini comes with one of seven different custom scrolls, each symbolizing or representing something different. Staying true to tradition, the Dancing Lion also holds a head of lettuce, which was used as currency in the old days. You can read up on the Dancing Lion over on Wiki.

Set your alarms, mark your calendars, and get your shelves cleared – a new special edition Android collectible is on the way. “Frankie Frost” is his name, a creation by Scott Tolleson. Since it’s starting to get mighty brisk outside, a winter edition seems fitting.

Lucky for us, the makers love them too and are putting out a special Halloween edition that features “Werewolf.” He is pictured above and is as cute as can be. He goes on sale right here starting Oct. 30 at 8PM (PST) and then again on Halloween morning at 8AM (PST).

Finally, the info we have all been waiting for! The Series 3 Android collectibles that we have been following religiously over the last few weeks will go on sale Monday, September 24 at 11:00AM ET. The Dead Zebra shop will have some, but if they sell out (and they likely will), you’ll have to take to searching through a number of online toy shops for stock. Initial orders should ship by 9/26.

Oh, and there is a the “Clear” collectible that we first posted a picture of during ComicCon. His head pops off in case you wanted to toss around the mini-green collectible for a few minutes.

Andrew Bell took a minute today to show off another Series 3 Android Collectible, the Cry-on. It’s basically an Android Krylon spray paint can that when shaken, might motivate you into tagging your office wall. OK, so there isn’t actual paint inside, but it certainly sounds and looks like it. Another fantastic bot in what appears to be the best collection yet/

In even better news, the shipments of Series 3 collectibles have cleared customs and arrived at the “magical toy cave.” That means we are days away from them shipping to retailers and then onto your doorsteps. Who’s ready?

Cry-on Series 3 Android Collectible, Shake the Paint Can! is a post from: Droid Life

Two new Series 3 Android collectibles were revealed over the last couple of days – Intergalactic and Barista Bot. The Intergalactic collectible is a take on the outfits worn by the Beastie Boys in their big hit titled “Intergalactic,” while the Barista Bot is a silly take on the Andrew Bell’s time as a barista at his sister’s coffee shop.

This series keeps getting better by the day. Hopefully we get an official release date in the next few days.

Andrew Bell continues to share the new Series 3 Android Collectibles over at the Dyzplastic blog, with today’s being the “Nexus” collectible. With its smokey dark translucent body, you can apparently get optimal play by placing him next to a light source. Oh, he also comes equipped with his own mini-Nexus phone that you can see in his right hand.

Still no exact date for release, but I can’t wait to see the rest.

Android Series 3 “Nexus” Collectible Comes With Its Own Mini Nexus, How Cute is a post from: Droid Life

The Series 3 Android Collectibles have seen their share of delays, but during those periods, improvements were made that should help this be the best set yet (Ball-jointed arms, anyone?). We have good news, though! According to the series’ makers, shipments of the final product will be arriving in California today, and will then cruise through customs on their way to distribution. Once that has happened, they will ship out to retailers and hopefully onto your doorsteps a few days later. It could be another couple of weeks depending on long it takes to get through customs, but we are almost there!

To celebrate, we get a full 360-degree look at one of the series collectibles, the 8-Ball Hustler. We actually posted the first look at this collectible in the wild after ComicCon, but this gives you the full monty.

After what was going to be a “late July” release, we have learned this afternoon that we can expect the Series 3 Android minis to begin shipping out in Q3 instead. Due to some production holdups, the minis team fell a little behind, but ensures customers that the minis are now ready and shipments will begin in the new Q3 time frame. 

As for what Series 3 will bring in terms of improvements, these little guys will feature ball joint arms, for not only rotating up and down, but sideways as well allowing for a greater range of motion. Featured above and below is Pandroid, who will be making his first appearance in the upcoming Series 3 pack.
