Supposed Samsung “Altius” Smartwatch Screenshots Surface, We Remain Skeptical

Just two days ago, news broke that Project J from Samsung would in fact be three separate devices; the Galaxy S4, a possible S4 Mini, and some type of smartwatch/S-Pebble-like device to sync with your new Galaxy phone. Apparently, screenshots of the OS that will be present on this smartwatch have leaked, but there are a few discrepancies that we will need to point out before we go believing it.

Samsung Project J Details Emerge, Hints at Entire Suite of New Devices

According to previous reports, back when little was known about Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S4 device, it was first referred to as Project J. As time went on, it was branded with the name Altius and given codename GT-I9500. That was all gravy, but now, new reports suggest that Project J is more than just a single device. If the new info pans out, we could be looking at a suite of new devices, including the S4, an S4 mini, and even some type of smartwatch/Pebble-like device. 

Samsung’s Galaxy S4 Now Rumored for April Launch Under Codename “Altius”

According to a couple of reports this morning, the next-gen Samsung flagship phone could be announced in March during an “Unpacked” event with a launch happening shortly after in April. We’ll refer to the phone as the Galaxy S4, but as of now, that name is not necessarily official. One source claims that the Unpacked event will happen in the U.S. at Apple’s doorstep, while the other source is expecting London, New York, or even Korea.
