SEGA announced this morning that two new Sonic games should hit Android later this year, Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed. Earlier this year, the company released a mobile-optimized version of the OG Sonic the Hedgehog game, which totally rocks. SEGA launched a new title to Google Play this morning, Sonic and SEGA All-Stars Racing. It’s your classic kart racing title, full of all of your favorite Sonic characters. So far, it really reminds me of Crash Nitro Kart and of course, Mario Kart. There are 16 different tracks to race on, with unique challenges on each to help score you more coins. (more…)
Has it really been 23 years? Well, considering I was almost two years old at that time, Sonic the Hedgehog has been a part of my life for as long as I can literally remember. He was practically my babysitter, as I recall sitting at home with my older brother’s SEGA Genesis, just trying to make it past the second world. That game was hard back in the day! Anyways, enough reminiscing. (more…)

All the way back in July, SEGA poked at us, getting us all excited that Android would see the release of Jet Set Radio sometime this summer. Sure, it’s practically December now, but we still love you, SEGA. Starting this morning, you can go pick up the Dreamcast classic for $5 through Google Play and re-live all of the spray-can fun. This summer, fans of the late SEGA Dreamcast will be able to re-live the good ‘ol days. In a recent release from SEGA, they have announced that they will be bringing back Jet Set Radio from the dead and releasing it to Android devices. The game had a marvelous 3D world which was set to some fantastic music where players skated and placed graffiti on walls. Dang kids. According to the publisher, there won’t be anything added to the game and it will most likely be a pure port to the mobile platform.
Did you own a Dreamcast back in the day? Excited?
