DROID Charge on the left, Incredible 2 on the right.  Did you just say, “Yikes!”?  Don’t worry, I did too when I first ran them.  And then to be fair, I kept running Quadrant over and over again on the Charge hoping that it would improve.  It didn’t.

Now, we all know that Quadrant isn’t the most consistent or realistic of all benchmark apps, but at least it’s something.  It does give us a pretty good idea of where a device stands when compared to another and in this situation, the Incredible 2 is the victor.  

We’ve always been a fan of DROID campaigns, but this new set of ads for the Charge is shaping up to be one of the best yet.  This is a follow-up to the teaser we saw last Friday.  

It’s been quite the DROID phone day, I’d say.  First we gave you hands-on of both the DROID Charge and Incredible 2, then dropped an unboxing for the Inc2, followed by a screenshot taking tip for the Charge, and now we’re back with one more.  It’s time to unbox the first 4G LTE “DROID” on Verizon and see if anyone will start to change their minds over it.  It hasn’t received a lot of love up to this point, so we’re hoping that a full couple of weeks with it followed by a review will help change everyone’s mind.  Let’s do it.  

Earlier today we gave you a quick hands-on gallery and our first impressions for the DROID Incredible 2, so now it’s time for a quick unboxing.  While unboxings are painful as hell, we still wanted to give you some shiny 1080p video of it in action.  It’s such a sexy little phone…and there I go calling it “little” again.  It’s not little, just smaller than the 4.3″ tanks that have  taken over my desk.  

HTC Thunderbolt owners, Verizon has released a series of videos to help you better understand your new phone and make the transition to it much more enjoyable.  As the first 4G LTE phone, it is a device that has grabbed the attention of users from all sorts of mobile platforms which means there will be a learning curve while these new faces adjust to Android.  And what better way to conquer that, than through some quick video tutorials?

After the break, you’ll find tips for navigating around your phone, its social apps, creating contacts, and even utilizing Google Maps.  

We somehow missed this second teaser video for the DROID Charge on Friday and wanted to toss it out there.  As you’ll quickly realize, “DROID DOES 4G LTE” is about to be blasted across your TV sets more than you can probably prepare yourselves for.  We should also note that the scavenger hunt for 16 free Charges is still going on, with zero devices having been found yet.    

Not that any of the dudes in the building will be looking for a phone in a Diet Pepsi commercial starring Sofia Vergara, but we still wanted to make sure you all noticed the DROID Pro.   Because…that’s what…we…were looking…at.
