I’m not exactly sure where this ad  came from, but you can see that the new print ad campaign for the Droid 2 Global and Droid Pro is in full swing.  ”DROID does France” is the latest in a string of global inspired ads hoping to help Android grab the spotlight on the business front from some of the other global smartphones currently on the market.  It would have been nice to see these devices on the small screen, but you can guess that the budget for Droid phones ran out back with the Droid X and the huge campaign attached to it.

The Droid X continues to be included alongside the new OnStar app and thanks to all of you, we’re keeping track of it.  We first saw it in a new OnStar commercial followed by a 2-page print ad, and now we’re seeing it at the L.A. Auto Show as a blown up version of itself.  How can you not love seeing a 3-foot tall DX in action?   If any of you are in the L.A. area, head over to the GM section of the auto show and see one for yourself.

And don’t forget to keep submitting any and all Droid appearances!

I know this has nothing to do with the “DROID” brand and that HTC EVO talk is usually saved for our other site, but we received so many emails about the appearance of an Android phone in last night’s episode of Fringe that we had to at least acknowledge it.  Going forward though, these non-Droid appearances will be up over at Android Life.

So early thoughts were that this was either an Incredible or a Droid X, but if you are able to capture a still of the device sitting on this nightstand, you can see a little Sprint logo in the top corner meaning this is definitely an EVO.  Not a Droid Appearance, but man, you guys were on top of this one.  Be sure to keep sending these in!

We may have just had more Droid appearances in the latest episode of Gossip Girl than all others combined.  While I’ve been tipped to original Droid sightings in this show quite often in the past, I have yet to see any TV show that busts out almost the entire lineup.  Thanks to our fantastic lady audience, we were tipped off to a scheduled appearance checklist which included the original Droid, Incredible and Droid X.  All of them pictured below.  

We saw the Droid X in an OnStar commercial way back in October running the car service’s new Android app, but now we’re seeing it as bold as ever in magazines.  The photo above, sent in at almost the same time by two readers, was featured in Popular Science and as you can tell, is a full 2-page spread showcasing one of our favorite family members.

A new episode of NBC’s Community is airing, well right now, and in the opening scene a Droid X was featured.  Add it to the list of Droid Appearances that we’ll continue to track as long as our favorites devices keep gettin’ the love!

Another day and another Droid appearance on a major network’s show.  During the last minute of episode 2 on “No Ordinary Family”, our beloved OG is used by someone who is obviously evil to let their boss know that a job had been completed.  What exactly was that job?  Oh, just for him to use his special powers to take a gun from a police officer and then shoot them with it while walking out the front door.  Yikes.

Maybe we should start up a “DROID Appearances” category on this site since we love covering them so much.  In the latest sighting, the original Droid gets some major face time on another episode of Castle.  In the show, a boy is kidnapped and an OG is left in his place to provide clues to the cops and father.  The kidnapper sends videos, texts and other fun clues all through our beloved Droid.
