Apex Launcher – Another Great Home Replacement for Ice Cream Sandwich Devices
There is no question that there are plenty of great launchers out there for Android users. But it seems that every time we post about Nova Launcher that was built specifically for Ice Cream Sandwich devices, there is someone that brings up the Apex Launcher. So we have checked it out and can now see why so many people were bringing it up. With even more customization options than Nova has at the moment, then there was no way we weren’t going to recommend this launcher.
Boid for Android Twitter Application Released, Built With Ice Cream Sandwich Specifically In Mind
While the official Twitter application has become more usable through many updates from the beginning of its existence, there are still plenty of options when it comes to 3rd-party Twitter apps. Recently released to the Android Market as an alpha build, is Boid for Android. It is built and designed purely for devices running 4.0+ and it actually shows. It looks exactly how a system app would if it came stock with Ice Cream Sandwich, which I think was possibly the point.
There is multiple account support, awesome navigation ability throughout the app, and even the option to choose from three different themes for the application. If you have been looking for a new Twitter app to match your ICS running device, then go check out Boid. And don’t forget to follow us @droid_life.
GO Launcher HD Beta Available for Testing, Tablets Needed Love Too
The original GO Launcher will always land in our top 5 Android launchers of all time. As one of the most stable and polished of them all with enough add-ons (themes, widgets, etc.) to keep you busy for days, very few can measure up. So when we heard that GO Launcher HD was available as a beta for tablets, we got a little giddy. The stock Android tablet UI has always been lacking in our opinions, so a tablet version of our favorite launcher is exactly what we have been waiting for. Did the GO team produce something worth your time though? I’d say so.
Rocket Weasel Jets its Way onto the Android Market, 64 Levels to Fly Through
Rocket Weasel has plenty of potential and is a good cross between Angry Birds and Cut the Rope. You launch your rocket-equipped weasel into the air and solve the “puzzles” to capture the farm animals without being caught by the farmer. It’s good for a, “Awe, that’s cute” moment plus there are plenty of levels to keep you busy. If you enjoy these types of games then we have no problem recommending it. However, if you enjoy more complex games that test your skills, then you should probably go check out Osmos HD or ShadowGun.

MLB At Bat 2012 Now Available in the Android Market
Baseball fans, the season openers are right around the corner. It’s now time to start getting ready with the official MLB At Bat 2012 application. Stay on top of your favorite teams no matter what city they are in with the ability to watch videos, listen to games, and track all the stats of your favorite franchises. Many argue about the $15 price tag, but that is just the name of the game when it comes to these officially licensed applications.
For those not looking to spend that much, last season they introduced the ‘Lite‘ version of At Bat, which suits most people just fine. Ice Cream Sandwich is supported, so Galaxy Nexus owners should have no problems putting this app through the paces. Let’s play ball!
