So, yeah, the Galaxy Note 8 is really expensive, and from a quick look at the comments section on our Note 8 articles, people aren’t really ecstatic about forking over nearly $1K for this phone. I don’t blame you at all, that’s a lot of cheese. Don’t get too hung up on the price, though, as Samsung is providing a few ways to save big money on its latest device.

One promotion in particular that has caught our eye is specifically for ex-owners of the Galaxy Note 7. According to Samsung’s press release, anyone who owned a Note 7 and would like to get a Galaxy Note 8 can simply trade-in their existing smartphone. Depending on the make, model, and condition, Samsung will provide up to $425 off a brand new Galaxy Note 8. That brings the Note 8 price down to around $500, which isn’t bad at all and may be the best deal ever.

Here’s what Samsung specifically mentions in its press release.

Former Note7 owners are eligible for a special offer on Samsung.com where they will receive an instant trade-in value of up to $425 when they upgrade their current phone for a Galaxy Note8.

So, this could be anyone who had a Note 7, then had to dump it and get a Galaxy S7 or Galaxy S8. I know there are a few of you who probably fit this description. This isn’t a bad deal at all if you’re ready to trade up to a new phone.

Ex-Note 7 owners, does this tempt you?
