LeEco Android TVs Updated With DIRECTV NOW App

For anyone who owns a LeEco TV, an update should be hitting your unit soon, one that brings the DIRECTV NOW application straight to your Android TV system. 

If you aren’t familiar, LeEco is providing a few months of trial access to the DIRECTV NOW service with the purchase of one of its televisions, and with this update, owners can have much better access to the service. Instead of browsing on your smartphone and then casting or however else you were managing to watch your shows, this app will now allow for complete and easy access to your channel lineup.

As for which models are receiving this update, LeEco lists it as available for the Super4 X65, X55, X43 Pro, and uMax85.

To initiate the software update, simply power on your LeEco TV and make sure you’re connected to the internet. At that point, a software update alert should appear with the option to update. Your TV’s software can also be manually updated from the TV’s home screen by navigating to the System Update application.
