Today, Playstation Vue announced that it will introduce a new feature called multi-view that gives users the power to watch up to three channels simultaneously. At this time, the feature will only be available to subscribers who watch Vue through a PS4, but there is always hope that it’ll rollout to Android TV or the web at some point. In fact, if you load up Vue on your Android TV today, it tells you all about the new goodness (see above).

With multi-view, Playstation Vue is timing the launch as the NCAA men’s basketball tournament starts. Since Vue includes the Turner channels (TNT, TBS, TruTV, and CBS), you could potentially watch a whole bunch of early round basketball at the same time. Or, you could watch any combination of news, sports, or your favorite shows too.

To launch into multi-view, you would “press and hold X on any live TV program from the Guide or Live TV row of the home screen to open up the selection screen for multi-view.” Also, these steps will help you navigate around multiple windows:

Press X to start any program. Press and hold X on any live program to start a multi-screen viewing experience.

If you want to switch programs within the multi-view screen, press Square on your DualShock 4. To move a program to the main screen, just highlight the smaller screen and press Square.

Vue also said that they will soon rollout real-time sports scores, though they didn’t provide timing.

Should multi-view hit Android TV units, we’ll be sure to pass that news along.
