According to Motorola and LG’s support accounts on Twitter, the Moto 360 (1st Gen) and G Watch will not be receiving the Android Wear 2.0 update that was previewed at this year’s Google I/O. This news should not exactly surprise anyone, but if you were holding off on upgrading your smartwatch, now seems like a good time to buy a new one, as support for these two devices seems to have ended entirely.

While Motorola simply tweets that the watch won’t be getting it, LG states that support for the G Watch has been discontinued. I mean, the device is going on a couple years old, so it’s probably best to let it fade into the sunset.

As for what Android Wear 2.0 brings, users who run it will find an improved complications experience, better Google Fit activity tracking, a handwriting input method, plus much more. All Android Wear 2.0 details can be found here.
