Should you buy a Moto X (1st gen) on Verizon, knowing that the 3rd gen model is more than likely arriving in the next couple of months? Not unless you really need a phone to get you by for eight or nine weeks. Sure, it’s still probably a decent phone, but it is approaching that 2-year-old mark where phones magically start figuring out ways to shut down so that you’ll upgrade to something newer.
But hey, if you need a phone to get you by for a minute, this isn’t a terrible option. eBay is currently selling a manufacturer refurbished Moto X (1st gen) for $109 without a contract. It should have Lollipop in a couple of weeks too…maybe.
