Facebook Testing Material Design Elements on Android App

According to screenshots, Facebook is testing out Material Design for its application, but there is currently no word on if this update will ever see a widespread rollout. Considering these changes are server side, there is no build number associated with the new aesthetic, such as the floating action button and other various Material visual tweaks.

While it is under testing, it does look quite nice. When a user hits the floating action button, your status update command will appear, where you can upload photos, take a photo, update your status, and post where you are for friends to see.

It is nice to see Facebook incorporating a bit of Google’s design language, but we have a bad feeling Facebook will find a way to screw it up.

If this appears on your Facebook app, feel free to tell us below how you are liking it.
