Verizon promised XLTE, its branded rollout of LTE (Band 4) on the AWS spectrum, would see continued expansion. If today’s announcement is any indication, it certainly has; Big Red flipped the switch on XLTE in 10 new markets, ballooning the total well past 400.

XLTE, you might recall, can sidestep congestion in crowded markets. That often manifests as impressive bandwidth – as much as double in ideal conditions. A compatible device, of course, is needed to take advantage.

Here are the new locations which should see XLTE starting today:

  • Chambersburg, PA
  • Charleston, WV
  • Chillicothe, OH
  • Dothan-Enterprise, AL
  • Eureka, CA
  • Hagerstown, MD
  • Hattiesburg, MS
  • La Grange, GA
  • Oskaloosa/Ottumwa, IA
  • Watertown, NY

If you live in one of the lucky new additions to the XLTE family, let us know how it is treating you.
