Moto X “Pure Edition” Receiving New Update to 22.21.11

The Moto X (2nd gen) “Pure Edition” appears to be receiving another update this afternoon, bringing it up to the same system version as the recently updated Verizon model. At least one of our readers received the update, showing a new system version of 22.21.11, up from the original 22.11.6.

It isn’t obvious what the update includes, but I would imagine it’s here to squash bugs. The original Android 5.0 “Lollipop” build that arrived on the “Pure Edition” a couple of weeks back is mostly great, but certainly contained some issues (like Moto Display not working properly).

The pop-up notification for the update also just makes it sound like this is Lollipop all over again. Motorola has yet to issue new release notes either. If they do, we will be sure to update this post.

To check for the update, head into Settings>About phone>System updates.

Anyone else get it?

Update:  Cough…mmmhmm.
