Angry Birds Transformers Gameplay Trailer Released, Looks Better Than Expected

The official gameplay trailer for Angry Birds Transformers has been released by Rovio, with the game now available to those who live in New Zealand and Finland. Unfortunately for us Android users who live in America, the game is not set to hit Google Play until October 30, but at least this trailer gives us something to look forward to.

In all honesty, the trailer actually gives me hope for this game. It is not your typical AB title, and instead of being stagnant and launching birds, you are a running/driving transformer bot that gets to shoot cannons at large Piggy towers. Much more action should be seen in this title.

My only concern is that your bots can be upgraded in the game (as shown in the video), leading to Rovio easily finding a way to cram IAPs down your throat. And if the game requires you to have “energy” to make a run, meaning you can’t play as much as you want without paying, then the game is doomed.

Don’t screw this up, Rovio.
