Ordered Mine from NewEgg and pre-ordered the Controller and Case from Best buy to pick up in store since those wont be out for another week or so.
Can’t Wait! I might finally be able to put down my Shield and sell my Nexus 7 2013. =-D

  • chris_johns

boy i think i want this tablet….my og n7 is struggling

  • RXG9

    what game is that?

  • M3D1T8R

I want the tablet for the front facing speakers alone, to replace my Nexus7. Too bad it’s $300 with only 16GB internal. But I guess with the SD slot I could live with it. Still waiting on more HTC “Nexus 8″ rumors though.

My thoughts exactly. My N7 has been commandeered by my kids and I’m in the market for something else. And this does look pretty sweet. Plus I might actually play all the games I’ve downloaded if I had a good controller. I can’t stand on screen controls for most games.

  • imronburgundy

    That’s a sweet looking tablet.

So are they going to drop the price on the Shield Portable even more now? Because that’s a more-attractive portable gaming shape imo, no need to prop up a screen AND use a separate controller if it’s all built into one controller that even folds to protect the screen.

No availability for the 32GB/LTE model yet?

    • Suman Gandham

      I want the LTE model…

  • Matthew DiGiacomo

It’s annoying that the controller isn’t available anywhere. I’d like to use my tablet for gamestreaming..

The tablet Looks a lot like what I would imagine HTC would do if they made a Nexus Tablet with front facing speakers.

If I didn’t have a tablet already I’d check this out.

I can’t find anywhere, will the controller work with any tablet?

      • Jared Denman

This is what I want to know. Would love to use this with even my nexus 5 docked!

        • Manthas

From the information on nvidia’s web site, seems like no:
“Compatible with NVIDIA® SHIELD™tablet and SHIELD portable”

          http://store.nvidia.com/store/nvidia/en_US/custom/pbPage.ShieldWirelessControllerPage

          • synplex

Because of their “Special” Wifi connecting feature to reduce lag from the remote. Other devices might not be set up for it, but I’m sure it’ll become compatible with everything soon enough thx to XDA Comm.

            TY guys

  • Jared Denman

Yawn. You guys are up way to early for this!
