eBook Subscription Service Oyster Launches on Android

rsz_oyster_image

For $10 a month, Oyster grants you unlimited access to a catalog of over 500,000 eBooks, but reading platforms were previously limited to iOS, Kindle Fire, and Nook devices. Today, the service is expanding to more devices with a native app for Android.

The app has a responsive layout, which should mean a consistent experience across smartphones and tablets. It also includes a feature unique to Android – page turning with the volume button! Slick. Oyster said that more platform-exclusive functionality is in the pipeline.

Oyster is available for download through Google Play. A 30-day trial is available at signup.

If this has educational books I’m all for it, I love to learn new things. I don’t care too much for fiction.
