Deal: Nexus 7 (2013) 32GB for $189, Regularly $269 (Updated)

Update:  A new deal has popped up that is even better than the original we featured. eBay is selling a brand new Nexus 7 (2013) with 32GB of storage for $189.99. That’s $10 cheaper than the refurbished model. [eBay Link]

Update 2:  It looks like the original deal for the refurbished model has now dropped from $199 to $169. Both are solid deals. So you can either grab a brand new Nexus 7 (2013) with 32GB of storage for $189 or a refurbished version for $169.

The Nexus 7 (2013), a tablet that many would still consider to be the best of the last year, can be had in “manufacturer refurbished” form through eBay today for $199 with 32GB of storage. Again, the device is refurbished, so it is not brand new. But like we mention in almost any post that features a deal for a refurbished product, there are those who consider manufacturer refurbished products to be almost better than new, since it gives the manufacturer an opportunity to button up any known issues and potentially re-release the product in better shape.

A brand new Nexus 7 (2013) with 32GB of storage currently retails through Google Play for $269, so you are looking at around $70 in savings. Keep in mind that this eBay deal also includes free expedited shipping, whereas Google will only give you free shipping on 3-5 day ground.

As a refresher, the Nexus 7 (2013) sports a 7-inch HD display (1920×1200), 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 Pro processor (quad-core), 2GB RAM, 5MP rear camera, 1.2MP front camera, dual stereo speakers, and runs the latest version of Android, which is 4.4.3.

I’m not saying it isn’t legit, but the seller of the new one for $189 has only been around a year, with about 1700 reviews and claims they are an “Authorized Dealer”. I just wish I trusted that more than I do, because I would love to grab one at this price.

They’re not much more expensive for brand new ones on Amazon ($228).

  • I want a nexus 7 2014! my nexus 7 2012 is on its last leg. SOOO Slow and laggy……

    • my N7 from 12 is still pretty good as far as responsiveness, my problem is wifi has started acting up. when all other devices have a signal, the N7 doesn’t or if any, less than 1 Mbps. that’s a good enough reason for me to get a N7 14 edition.

      • what size? maybe its my rom and maybe its that mine is only 16gb but i have like 2gb space left. if i have time i want to completel factory reset it. CM 11 nightly rom isnt doing so hot

        • i’ve got a 32GB with about 7.5-8 GB room left over right now. i’m on stock 4.4.3. unrooted.

          • ah ok. i read online that performance decreases as you have less and less remaining space so i might try to go back to stock. is there a stock rooted kit kat rom?!

          • sorry, not that i’m personally aware of. maybe others can reply with links.

Google I/O is in a couple weeks. I would wait on buying any tablet before then, just in case.

I’m seriously itching for some new Nexus tablet rumors! Somebody leak something!

Do not buy from them. I bought one about two weeks ago and I did not receive a manufacturer refurbished tablet. I got a defective broken tablet. They finally agreed to pay return shipping but all they did then was sendme back the exact same broken tablet. The power button is broken and doesn’t work. All the did was force that tablet on and remailed it back to me. No way to power it off. I’m still fighting for a refund.

Dang I was about to pull the trigger on it. They seem to have great reviews.

A very solid deal IMO. This device has aged very well. Mine still feels, looks, and acts like new, though I wish it had a beefier battery and a more responsive touchscreen. It’s aged better even than the 2012 version did a year after its launch (Tegra + cheap NAND=pain). I have passed over on deals for the G-Pad 8.3 (too little internal storage, no Qi) and the Tap Pro 8.4 (too little internal storage, no Qi, Touchwiz) and stuck with my trusty N7.

I think the fact that I picked up a bunch of cheap Qi charging plates helps matters tremendously as I had almost “forgotten” that the 2013 N7 had wireless charging. With 4.4.3 already on board and 4.5 imminent, the 2013 N7 is only going to get better with age.

exact reason why i’ve passed on this one. would get the GP edition, but I need 32 GB since you have to move apps to SD manually. or don’t you?
