Prime World: Defenders Hits Google Play, a Tegra-enhanced Tower Defense Game

Defender

A new Tegra-enhanced, Unity-based game has hit Google Play this morning for Android devices, Prime World: Defenders. From independent game developer Nival, Defenders is a mix between a Tower Defense title, and Collectible Card Game.

To win levels, players must rank up their respected heroes, collect/upgrade cards to improve towers, destroy enemy totems, and maintain control over key areas of a map.

For those worried that the game won’t be able to run on your device because it features Tegra enhancements, fret not. All Android devices running Android 4.0+ are compatible, but those people running an Android device powered by a Tegra chip from NVIDIA will notice special enhancements throughout the game, such as more detailed graphics and lighting effects.

The game is free to download, but does feature IAPs. Considering that it costs $5 to download on iOS, the fact that Android users can try it out for free is actually kind of nice.

Go check it out, defenders.

This really makes me want a nice Command & Conquer on Android. The devices are more than capable.

I would love to see StarCraft, 1 or 2.

Seriously! I believe our phone could handle these titles! Red Alert 2, Generals and Star Craft 2 would be lovely. I remember running these with 512mb then 1gb. Our 2gb and 3gb phones should breeze through these.

Star Craft would be awesome on a tablet, but I don’t think it would be as good on a phone screen.

Unfortunately, if Blizz released a mobile game it will be iOS with Android coming soon®.

Having access to both ecosystems just makes life easier.
