The Droid Life Show: Episode 54

Due to traveling and other miscellaneous issues, we were unable to bring you an episode dedicated entirely to the HTC One (M8) last week. With that said, you can expect there to be plenty of discussion tonight regarding HTC’s latest flagship smartphone. But don’t worry, we won’t only be talking about the M8.

In store for tonight, the DL crew will be talking about Amazon’s new Fire TV set-top box, our favorite April Fools’ Day gags from around the web, a report claiming Google is to release a standalone Camera app to Google Play, and we will also try for a Q&A session as well. As always, it is sure to be a really good time.

We’ll be live at 6:00PM Pacific (9:00PM Eastern). Join us live through the embeds below!

If you can’t catch us live, be sure to subscribe through one of the various outlets listed.

HTC ONE [2013] Most accurate, most beautiful, most pixelated screen on the market.

All the complaining about being too tall & heavy, c’mon guys, if u like BoomSound u can’t complain how tall it is, it’s simple there’s no other place to put the speakers, jez. Also I seem to remember some Note Fanboys here, how can u bitch that this phone is too big. Touchwiz, really Touchwiz, new, old, same garbage, I just think Sense has come a long way, now it’s so refind & elegant there’s no competition in my eyes. Yeah I would have liked a 8 ultrapixal camera for resolution sake but I guess we can’t have everything. All & all I think HTC put together a terrific package here, it’s probably the best smartphone on the market.

        Thanks, I appreciate it.

Tim! What are the G2 downsides? I mean I really like the UI vs. TouchWiz as TW isn’t nearly as customizable as LG Home. Just curious is all.

    You guys trashed the m8

  • Bill Hill

I like how DL makes fun of the G2 and has never given it a real shot but praises and/or mentions the Moto X in every post

Kellen, you guys should review windowsphone 8.1 when you have a chance. seems like Microsoft added some much needed features that you pointed out windowsphone lacked when you reviewed it last.

my only issue with it is that it still doesn’t support wifi tethering the way foxfi can set up a hotspot for you in Android. that’s a must have for me and I don’t think the devs are there yet with WP
