HTC Posts Final Episode of Technical Translations, Focuses on Zoes

HTC Zoe One 2014

The fourth and final Technical Translation from HTC is on YouTube, this time focusing on Zoes, HTC’s photo/video sharing platform built into the company’s camera software.

Zoes were introduced last year, as a neat way to capture more of life’s moments. For example, if you went to a concert the night before and were snapping a lot of pictures with Zoes turned on, the One would take up to 20 photos and a 3-second video at once. The device would then stitch together its creation and save itself to the gallery for sharing later on.

The new video seems to claim that something new is coming to Zoes in the One (2014), but we will need to wait for March 25 to get a real sense of what HTC has in store.

I don’t know if this happened to anyone else, but don’t these two guys in the video remind you of the Windows vs Mac commercials? One is a hip dude who totally understands today’s youth. The other is a nerdy-type guy, who takes more comfort in his Excel sheets and technical wizardry. Just thought I should throw that out there.

Check out the video below.

With still a little over a week to go until launch, and nearly nothing yet to be revealed about the new One, I’m really hoping the phone will be available to buy right away within a week or two from launch. Given we’ve seen FCC documents already for a couple versions (Verizon and I think AT&T or T-mo before that), earlier than when we started seeing any such documents for the S5, I’m hoping this is the case. For the sake of competition within Android, we need HTC to succeed with this One.

Wow. These are awful videos. I have an HTC one and like it but these are making me cringe at the cheesy attempts at humor. Htc needs to lose this pr firm and step up their marketing game if they are gonna challenge the big boys like apple and Samsung for market share. Truly painful!

This is not going to help sell more phones, HTC.

Do we have all the specs for the Sony Xperia Z2? If so please include in your comparison when this phone is released against the S5. I’m looking to try something new this time around and haven’t had a HTC since before Android (WinMo!) and never a Sony. Already done Samsung and Moto for a while now.

      Sony Z2
      Snapdragon 801
      3gb ram
      16/32
      20.7 mp camera
      3200 mAh
1080p screen (probably going to be the best screen) The new technology looks great.

If ATT carriers the 32GB version I think it is my next,

Is it just me, or does the guy on the right look like a Tobey McGuire/Jude Law hybrid? Ha… Just sayin…

I thought it was Peter Krause, aka Adam Braverman from parenthood.
