LG G Pad 8.3 for Verizon Press Render Leaked

Verizon G Pad 8.3

Want a G Pad 8.3 from LG that can connect to Verizon’s 4G LTE network? According to the latest tweet from @evleaks, it’s definitely coming soon. In the tweet, Evan posted up a press render of the G Pad 8.3, complete with two Verizon logos and a healthy-sized 4G LTE logo on its backside. As we posted last month, the tablet stopped by the FCC with Verizon radios inside, so these renders lend more credence to that report.

There is no official word from Verizon as to when we can see it on its network, but it will more than likely be sooner rather than later.

Thinking about picking one up?

The back you could buy a regular G pad and replace, but man that logo on the front. LG just bends over and takes it from verizon with the branding.

MY G2 is pretty sweet. no complaints (after disabling the BLOAT). Havent rooted. But i could definitely see myself with a G Pad version. That and the additional feature you get of having same branded devices. Hmmz, depending on price, we’ll see.

Someone went on a downvote spree. Looking at these comments, for no reason, someone(s) just went nuts lol

  • Jroc869, Nexus-Life

Thanks Verizon for this render. I’m not sure anyone could have imagined what this would look like without one.

  • Robert Boluyt

Already bought the GPe version. Still no regrets.

    • g2 owner

let me ask you.. with the GPe version, do you lose the Knock-On feature, QSlide, and SlideAside features?

      • The Narrator

Yep, would never give that up. Performance is the same on both.

Queue the angry “look at the Verizon branding!” comments in 3..2..1

Don’t really understand phone and tablet photo leaks.

“Ooooooo….look! It has a screen, a slight bezel, and maybe a button or three on the bottom! I never imagined such a design!”

  • jimt

There is no mistaking a Verizon device front and rear.

Here is real Verizon LG G pad

Pretty late to the party… and no thanks.

    Verizon Tablet Army…

    Sheesh…

I think my room needs to be upgraded….was debating this or nexus 7…I feel nexus 7 is just to small for what I do use it for. Let’s see what they price it at first

    • http://droid-life.com/ Rthvk

I use an N7 and had a G Pad to use for a little while — I personally think the screen difference isn’t that big, and I’d choose N7 over the G Pad any day.

If we’re talking G Pad GPe, though, that’s a whole different story.

I plan on rooting and unlocking it and playing with Roms. The WiFi version is and I’m sure this one would be

      • SeanPlunk

Really? I much prefer the size of the G Pad over my Nexus. I don’t love the stock LG Skin, but with root and G2 xposed I have it looking almost stock. My G Pad is a great tablet, no complaints.

  • Ryan

I wish i could trade my wifi model for this. I love this tab. Same features from the G2 are on this like knock on. G2 xposed and gravity box also work once rooted.

    • hkklife

I just want a 32GB GPE version of it. Wi-Fi or LTE. 16GB just doesn’t cut it anymore.

      • The Narrator

        SD slot.

        • hkklife

Nearly worthless on the LG skinned version. Beyond useless on the GPE version (SD slot is read-only)–just look at the Galaxy S4 GPE. That’s why I specifically stated 32GB instead of the usual 16GB.

          • The Narrator

So you’re telling me that they just added an SD slot for sh!ts and giggles? Ok, buddy.

          • Barlog

I felt the same way a week after I bought my GPE and found out I couldn’t use the SD card. But after I Rooted it I found there is a really easy fix for this and I’m now rockin 16GB internal and 32GB external and love it

Shh people just like to complain and complain and never find a fix.

          • gotluck

Must root and apply a text edit fix to platform.xml file. Works great on gs4 ge
