Friday App Sale Explosion: Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour, Batman: Arkham City Lockdown, Metal Slug Series, and More

Google Play Altered

Considering the size of the list we have compiled for all of the app sales currently taking place on Google Play, we think you will have enough games to play for all of 2014. It seems as if every developer and their grandmother decided to mark down their apps, and you know what, we love it! There are a few classic titles on the list, such as all of the Final Fantasy games, the entire Metal Slug series, as well as personal favorites like Need for Speed Most Wanted and Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour. Seriously, check this list out.

This is easily the largest sales list we have compiled so far, so start to scan and take advantage of these great deals.

Picked up a few FF games for the holidays. Thanks for the tip. Took advantage of the free $25 Google Play Gift card that accompanied my replacemnt HP 11 Chromebook charger.

Conveniently, all games by hyperdevbox are on sale, including their new release. If you like strategic JRPGs, then you’ll have a field day with this sale.

I’m a long time Lone Wolf fan and was very excited to see the mobile game come to fruition. Nice to see you list it on here.

    MC4: Zero Hero? lol

Batman only works on tablets? Nether my Moto X or my GNex are compatible…

    • TechTinker11

      Not Compatible with my Nexus 7 ’13 and Nexus 10;

Maybe it’s kitkat, I always notice on my Nexus devices when a new OS comes out it takes a while for devs to make the compatibility with their apps and games, usually a month to six. Not all apps but a few, usually a quarter of my apps won’t work right after an os update with nexus.

Email the dev, they usually are pretty good at getting back, especially if their indie and not some big company like EA or gameloft.

        • TechTinker11

Haven’t updated them yet. The other Batman game works on my tablet though. Dosent matter to me, as I’m not a fan. But not supporting 4 of the bigger devices is weird.

Playing FF Dimensions now. I really hope more new JRPGs come out on Android instead of ports from Nintendo, SNES, Genesis, etc. because I usually have already played them before. Not really into playing JRPGs twice especially since I’m more interested in the story and character development/interaction and knowing what’s going to happen/said isn’t fun. Some of the Kemco games are okay but most of them are boring.

It’d be great to see Namco, the publisher of the Tales of games release some JRPGs for Android especially since I haven’t been a fan of the newer FF games from Square. The last FF game I liked was FF9.

I’ve seen the ratings on the game and people are complaining that it doesn’t support rooted devices. Square Enix is not very responsive and I hate to take a chance on something that the developer may not be willing to support. I see that they have a lot of downloads, but it is obvious that the game is probably of lower priority than their current console lineup.

      • Jo

I’m surprised Square keeps blocking rooted devices given that they keep getting called out for it and they eventually remove the block. Definitely not a way to get fans of their games and brand.

    • Jason

I hope so too! I want to play some new fun JRPGs on the go without carrying/buying another device.

I also think the Tales of games are more fun than the last 5 or so Final Fantasy games on Playstation.

      • JoshGroff

If you like strategy JRPGs, hyperdevbox has all theirs on sale.

  • BillySuede
