Deal: Best Buy Selling Galaxy S4 for Free From Verizon, AT&T, and Sprint – in New Arctic Blue Color Too

artic blue galaxy s4

We’re not even to Thanksgiving yet and there are deals to be had all over this vast internet. If the two tablet deals we told you about already weren’t doing the trick because a new phone is what you really had been holding out for, take a look at Best Buy’s pre-Black Friday deals. One includes the Samsung Galaxy S4 for free from Verizon, AT&T, and Sprint in any color you can find them in. The featured version on BBY’s site comes in “Arctic Blue” which is apparently new. But you’ll also find black, white, red, purple, and brown variants depending on carrier.

If you are an AT&T customer and really wanted the Galaxy S4 Active instead of the original 2013 flagship, it’s included in the free deal as well.

In case you are new to this, you have to sign a contract to get the phone for free.

I did it and had no issues at all ty best buy

  • Moises1213

Other phon stores around your neighborhood sell it very cheal at like 450$ for almost any carrier

  • Moises1213

In others stores they sell em for 450$

When you add the S4 to the mobile package/cart it clearly states the following. They either changed it or you missed it. Upgrading = no more unlimited data unless you replace the device.

  • Torch

Just went through the process and grabbed an S4 Active Blue (AT&T) as one of the wife’s Christmas presents, renewed existing contract, kept existing non-standard data plan (old) 2Gb for $25 p/mo. No problems, only cost $36 for AT&T activation which is normal.

  • dped

anyone acutally gone through with this yet? Just very skeptical about the whole keep your current plan deal. I don’t want to show up at the store and then be asked to change my data plan when I get there. Sitting at the checkout screen waiting to possibly see if anyone can confirm they kept their unlimited plan.

  • George

I grabbed myself a Galaxy S4! Got the Arctic Blue color because it looks so pretty. Very glad I waited for a deal like this. I did not have $200 to spare for a new phone. Lol.

  • Dominique Griffin

Hmm wondering if I’ll lose my unlimited doing this has anyone tried lol

    • dped

If you read the customer agreement at the end of the check out, there is a specific line that says “You may be asked to change a different plan that we are offering at the time”. I am still very skeptical about this and am still waiting for a confirmation to see if anyone has tried this yet.

      • Dominique Griffin

I never got that far I was skeptical and stopped before I hit the checkout button

  • Blake Smith

So if I upgrade, and currently have unlimited data with Verizon, how will that affect my plan?

    • BigDeeNY99

Customer Service for VZW just told me they will force you to choose a current plan…

      • Blake Smith

        Lame. Thanks for the info.

It’s what I figured, I’ve just never bought a phone from through Best Buy, didn’t know if it was the same or not.

      • Tim242

They are just saying that. They said the same thing during the big glitch. They were wrong.

        • Aime Eerin

white, red, purple, and brown variants depending on carrier.

  • thaguybluu

just went thru the checkout process and it asks to keep existing plan, doesnt give any prompts to switch data, Will i keep my unlimited?

    • BigDeeNY99

It did it for me too!!! Not falling for it..It might work! on Best Buy but VZW might force you to change.

      • dped

Has anyone tried this already and was able to keep their unlimited plan? I am at the checkout screen and am too skeptical about proceeding with it. I also have the option to pick up in store but I am afraid when I get there they will want me to change my plan. Any new yet?

    • Ralph Luciano Padro Jr.

Wish I knew. Had the same issue. Best Buy online rep said I’ll keep my Unlimited Plan, but I’m extremely skeptical.

      • Chris

Any idea what would happen if I ordered it through Best Buy, picked it up, and didn’t activate it??

        • Ralph Luciano Padro Jr.

It’s something I’m very tempted to do myself, honestly. I wish people were a little more forth coming with this information.

    • Aime Eerin

it’s included in the free deal as well.

  • acashe42

Never any good off contract discounts, i’d never pay over $500 for a phone. Why wont Verizon just carry the N5 already?

    • NerdTech

Verizon wants to keep you on Contract and wants you to get rid of your unlimited data. The Nexus 5 would disrupt that.

  • Chief738

    So selling huh?

  • BPStroh

Holy crap is the S4 really $750 off contract? That seems like…alot.

    • Adrynalyne

Best Buy hikes the MSRP big time.

      • MistaButters

Which really benefited me recently when they junked out my phone and gave me full retail value. Thank$ Best Buy!

      • Aime Eerin

        But you’ll also find black,
