Moto X Kit Kat Update Rolling Out Now to Verizon Devices!

moto x kit kat update

Would you look at that – the Moto X Android 4.4 update is already rolling out to Verizon variants and we’re only an hour removed from Motorola making it official. We’re pulling the update now and will have more in a minute.

To see if the update is available to your device, head into Settings>About phone>System updates.

Update:  We just put together a quick hands-on tour here!

Cheers jbartcaps, Keaka, Noah, Brandon, and roth!

  • NexusMan

    Moto X ROCKS!

  • CasperTFG

Wow, this beat the staged roll out to our Nexus 10s. Great job Google.

    • NexusMan

      and 7s

  • Justen DeBowles

I wonder… Do fandroids still think verizon is the devil?

Sent from my VZW Samsung Galaxy Note 2.

  • Jason B

No one really mentioned OpenGL ES 3.0 support since that was a 4.3 feature, but since we skipped 4.3, we now get that support with Kit Kat 4.4.

  • droidrazredge

Can anyone, besides the people that think this staggered update idea that Google has is godsend, please explain to me how Motorola is able to distribute the 4.4 update through two processes: that is, one their internal testing and secondly Verizon internal testing and network, faster than Google does through their own network to Nexus devices ? from the looks it seems more people got the update the first day than people with nexus devices have over the seven days its been since Google started their roll-out.

  • Scottyb112

I can’t believe the VZW Moto X is getting the update.. But yet, still nothing on my Nexus 7 2013.. Unbelievable!

  • Tom Luley

Any idea on how to do it on a rooted device with custom recovery? Or do I need to wait for a zip to flash?

  • droidrazredge

I bet all the Nexus 4 & 7 owners are thinking “what the eff, how does a non nexus device get it before mine ?”

    • NexusMan

If I didn’t think the Moto X was the truth since day 1, I would be thinking that…but I always knew the Moto X rocked.

  • arthur2142

Kit Kat seems to have broken FoxFi. Does anyone know if there is another work-around to get hotspot up and running (other than rooting)?

    • NexusMan

      Now…that would be a problem.

  • jhjr24

Hello MOTO you have won my heart again. Getting a custom Moto X as soon as they add that wood baby.

    • NexusMan

      You and me both.

  • Nick

Now how about the Droid Maxx since they are almost the same phone?

    • NexusMan

But they’re not. One’s a Droid. Just like The LG G2 doesn’t have it yet, despite it being “almost the same phone” as the Nexus 5. *wink*

  • Moi

My phone updated but I’m stuck at work until 5. *insert sad face*

  • Scott Kart

Can someone please explain to me ART?

    • Jason B

It’s just the new Android RunTime (ART) that will eventually replace the aging Dalvik runtime. Google has been working on it for a while now, and is still working on it since it’s experimental and only available in the Dev Options menu.

As Google continues to develop ART, it’ll become more and more optimized, though it’s pretty good now. Some people report better battery life and improved performance, however, it can break compatibility with some apps. I haven’t encountered one yet.

  • justin

Omg I’m so happy and surprised it came this quick! Makes me happy I made the purchase on this model and happy to stick with the new Motorola! Update downloading now!

  • WalkerNA

Coming from a Droid Charge, getting this update so quickly is just feels absurd but I’m not complaining! The only issue I have is that I still cannot connect my FitBit Force to my Moto X (the FitBit site claimed that Motorola did not ship the full Bluetooth 4.0 libraries and I was hoping this update would remedy that). Besides that, smooth as butter!

  • zach wheeler

Just watched the hands-on video about the update….. not a whole lot of new stuff. Kind of a let down. Cool that it came out fast though.

  • zach wheeler

Just got mine up and running on 4.4. Besides the transparent bars, can someone explain the main differences that I should be looking for? I run a black background anyway so my phone looks exactly the same (except for the grey status bar….which is not that big of a deal). I thought this would be some sort of life changing update…… Everything pretty much looks the same.
Can someone explain what I’m missing?

    • zach wheeler

and the dialer is all fancy and complicated now……..

      • thefullritz

Go back out to the droid life page, they just posted a hands on video….all about KK

    • tyguy829

you can use google wallet! sideload the n5 version, then it should appear in your tap and pay menu

  • Malcolm Love

I’m so hype for my Maxx to get this.

  • cocomojoe2

    no yellow pages dialer?

  • Jeremy Diamond

Loading mine now! I’m still surprised mainly because I’m a Verizon customer lol

  • Jeremy Case

Love my Note 3 but seriously thinking of switching to a moto x

  • metropolis

Here’s my conspiracy theory, curious if it holds water.

Verizon needs to get their LTE phones on Band 4 ASAP to reduce current congestion on their Band 13. There was a news report a few weeks back about how this would be rectified ‘before the end of the year’.

Now, why does this matter? My theory is that this update also enables Band 4. They’re working with device manufacturers to get these updates out ASAP to free up the congestion with the added benefit of making power users happy with these expedient updates.

    • John Galt

But do we know if this enables band 4? I’ve been trying to figure it out to no avail.

  • steve0617

Thread jack (sorry!) – Moto now saying Razr HD, Maxx and M to get Kit Kat. goo.gl/78CzYc

  • Tristan

Pretty much the only question left now is: should I buy one now, or wait for wood backs??
The uncertainty is killing me 🙁

  • Kanaga Deepan N

I do hope this will force others like HTC and Sammy to update at least their flagships to KK fast…

  • Stephen Rajek

Basking in Kit Kat goodness. Thank you Verizon and Moto!

  • Daniel

Now if only everyone used stock or near-stock roms on their phones this might be more the norm….instead Samsung has stopped roll-out of 4.3 on the GS3 due to bugs. 😛

  • Jason B

Yes, ART runtime is available in the Developer Options!

    • ROB

      Battery life should be better

  • Me

I think this might solidify the Moto X as the best ALL AROUND android phone of the year.

    • Stevedub40

Very much agreed. What they have done with this phone is nothing short of amazing.

      • Steve B

And there were so many haters in the beginning. Funny how things change. Is the spec war over? Or just postponed for now?

        • Patmw123

The camera seems to have been noticeably improved as well. At least to my eyes.

        • CHRIS42060

The spec war will never be over…… In a discussion thread of another post (possibly on another blog) there is an argument over specs happening as we speak.

          • michael arazan

The specs are identical with my GS3 replacement for my GNex from asurion. I would gladly trade my gs3 for a phone that doesn’t stutter and lag like crazy. Moto X is getting faster updates than my GNex did it seems, I hope Verizon will keep it up and cooperate. The only downfall of KitKat I see is everyone says Flash will not work on it anymore which kind of sucks. Not every site uses html like comedy central for instance to see daily show clips and extended interviews. I’m pretty happy with an s4 seems twice as fast as the GNex was. But I have not had any experience with a faster mobile device or network because vzw 4g is slow as hell here i the middle of St.L.

    • Adam Truelove

It really is the best phone I’ll never buy.

      • turdbogls

same here. if i were to buy a verizon phone on contract, this would probably be it…but i am just too happy with my Nexus 5 and T-mobile right now.

        • Adam Truelove

Headed to the Nexus 5 on GoPhone in the next month or so.

        • mickmayi

exactly what im doing tomorrow. leaving my Verizon Gnex and getting a N5 on t-mobile… ill admit im a little scared

          • turdbogls

I was at first, but as long as you have the coverage (T-mobile is better than VZW in my 2 main places of work and home) and matches it everywhere else i have gone in the past 2 weeks…DL speeds are faster too) you will be happy.

        • Booyah

Since I have unlimited data with a VZW Moto X, pay the same as I would at T-Mobile, and have Verizon’s coverage, I’d be stupid to leave.

          • turdbogls

how is that possible? the unlimited plan at VZW is like $120 or something isn’t it? its like $70 on T-mobile.
either way, i was paying $75 on verizon for my plan, i am now paying $30 for superior coverage (yes superior) for 95% of my usage. I am super happy with both the phone (N5) and the service.

          • Booyah

That’s good. I travel a lot, so I need the coverage, and Verizon has the best coverage where I am (SoCal). I need service everywhere. I pay $150 (after taxes) for my wife and I to both have unlimited data and text, and all the minutes we need, and also includes an extra line. T Mobile wouldn’t be any cheaper for me, and the coverage isn’t as good. Different strokes I suppose.

          • turdbogls

gotcha….yeah other lines makes the switch…not as sweet. I’m experiencing the same trying to get my wife to ditch her VZW family plan but the numbers just dont work out.

          • Booyah

It’s always good to have options. I’m glad TMo is offering what they are, and that it works out for a lot of people. It was a big gap in the market. But until Verizon decides to pry unlimited from my cold dead hands, my situation is just too good right now. The second that happens though, I’m leaving.

          • turdbogls

I hear ya. i actually sold my unlimited contract last week and made $200 off it simply because i was afraid unlimited Data was going to be forcefully ripped from my grasp fairly soon. well, that coupled with my addiction for wanting the latest and greatest, not wanting to buy full price $600 phones, and that t-mobile works for me. 🙂

      • brkshr

If I couldn’t get a Nexus phone, the Moto X would be it for me. I’m actually a tiny bit jealous my GF is getting a Moto X, but I know that it wouldn’t satisfy my tinkering needs.

        • Adam Truelove

It wouldn’t satisfy my pure stock, big 1080p screen, easily unlocked, good ROM support needs.

          • NexusMan

Nexus 5 isn’t pure stock as it has a skinned launcher.

    • Moku

Honestly, I agree. Next year, I’m getting either the next Nexus or whatever else Motorola has up it’s sleeve. Probably what Motorola has, seeing as the Moto X is just an amazing device overall.

      • NexusMan

I agree totally with you. I was really excited about the Moto X, and waited to see the Nexus, but pretty much knew the Nexus 5 would have had to have been extraordinary for me to get it over the Moto X, and it just isn’t. Next year, it will most likely be between these 2 again. The Moto X is the only phone ouside of a Nexus that I’ve been so excited about it’s sequel.

  • Ah…the fly in the ointment. Just updated to KK and found that all the annoying VZW apps and crapware that I had disabled have suddenly been re-enabled again.

    Shocker.

    • derbo904

      well DUH.

  • Me

    As a N4 owner….

  • yay!

My motomaker moto x hasn’t shipped yet. I wonder if it will have 4.4 pre-installed. That would be fantastic… super clean install 🙂

    • thefullritz

Ordered mine yesterday. Wondering the same….can’t wait till it gets here Friday!

    • Terrormaster

Same here, ordered mine yesterday too. Fingers crossed that KK will be preloaded. If not, no biggie cause I’ll get it OTA. Man I’m so glad I opted for the MX over the N5… And my poor N7 waits for its OTA… Sadly it waits.

  • Cameron Laudick

    anyone know file size?

  • BuckNut23

This is awesome since my moto x is currently sitting at home waiting for me to open it!

    • Cameron Laudick

      Lot of buckeyes on here!

      • Michigan Guy

        Unfortunately

  • Tyler

If you haven’t gone to software updates and clicked check for updates do it now, i’m downloading it as you read this.

  • iNomNomAwesome

Holy sh*t!!! Not only is verizon getting it first, but its actually downloading for me right now! I always get it after everyone else!

  • chris kilps

order my over the weekend I guess i will have a big up date as soon as i turn it on

  • cjlee89

Noticed the wireless icon is not spaced correctly from the 4G icon. Not a huge deal but my OCD kicks in.

  • Justin Duncan

don’t forget to change dalvik to art!

    • chris13417

      what does that do exactly?

      • Jason B

Different, faster runtime; Dalvik is dated. You have to unlock the developer options by pushing the build version about 7 times or so.

      • Justin Duncan

        makes it run smoother

      • chris13417

Ok cool. I saw your post and went ahead and switched without knowing what it does. Noticed the reboot hung on the verizon logo and the optimizing apps process is taking a lot longer than the initial boot so I was starting to worry. Thanks for the tip!

      • Justin Duncan

makes it run a lot smoother!

  • Joseph Ferguson

Downloading now! So worth my 0 dollars + activation fee! Thanks

  • Kyle Miller

Verizon is keeping Motorola folk happy. Well seeing that they are Droid business/branded for a long time, they might as well keep it up.

  • Michael Contreras

    So, yeah, Nexus 4 ota?

  • crazed_z06

    Well.. that escalated quickly..

  • Josh

Love the phone… completely astounded that Verizon did something first. Kudos Verizon! For what I pay, you finally let me get an update first.

    • Josh

Booting like a champ… I have completely abandoned the thought of getting work done right now.

  • Miles Prower

    Network may be monitored
    By an unknown third party.

A trusted credential installed on your device is making this possible.

    Must be FoxFi.

    • John Sanatar

      Do you use FoxFi?

      • since FoxFi has to install a Credential and mandates a screen lock, is there a good alternative for non-rooted users?

  • Ej McCarty

And I said oh lawd jesus I have kit kat 🙂

    • LionStone

And you can’t beat that with a whiffle ball bat! 🙂

  • Stevedub40

    Downloading now!

  • Weber

    Do OTAs count against data?

    • JWil

      yes

    • EdubE24

      Yes

      • Weber

Oh well. F it. I’d have upgraded even if I knew that info beforehand.

  • Patrick Chapman

Have I died and gone to Heaven?

  • Michael

I love how the post image keeps updating with the progress!

  • djjsin

    Installed and Running 4.4! yay!

now to figure out how to root.

  • JWil

Wow, the widgets drawer got left in…thats kind of a shocker…no issues yet

    • Patrick Chapman

That’s because Google took it out with the GEL launcher and since the MOTO X doesn’t get that, it’s stay in like before. You can download the laucher APK and get the fixed real easy though.

      • JWil

        Interesting. Thanks for the info.

  • Warwick

Anyone getting Error at the android install?

    • Colin James

I am getting an Error too. Not sure what is going on. I rooted a while ago using pwn but I flashed stock recovery to get the last update which worked.

      • Warwick

Same thing I did. Now I’m stuck on the Motorola Logo :/.

        • Colin James

I am not getting stuck. Mine reboots just fine just cant upgrade. Can someone please advise????

  • AlexFirth91

Waiting to get Kit Kat on my Droid Maxx but it should be sooner than later.

  • Gr8Ray

Oh hell yeah! I had already checked it this morning when I first read about this, and no updates were available. I checked it again just now, and the update is downloading as I type this. Woot!

  • Pierito

Congrats to those who stuck it out with VWZ and picked a Moto X on the 11th! lol

    • NOCHnoch

      thanks!

  • Daeshaun Griffiths

my dialer is force closing, anyone else?

    • Warwick

Error on android installer, Now forever stuck at the blue M ):

      • Daeshaun Griffiths

i did a factory reset and mine is stuck on the vz logo.
        nvm. it booted.

  • Ej McCarty

And i said Oh lawd Jesus I have kit Kat 🙂

  • Kevin

So apparently this isn’t a staged roll out? Everyone is getting their update already. Quite impressive.

  • Shadwostare

Holy Crap. ALREADY? That has to be the fastest Verizon has EVER pushed an update from any OEM.

  • Weber
  • EdubE24

    Congrats Moto X owners!!

  • zombiewolf115

i dont know if i should be happy at the moto x or be mad at my nexus 4

  • cjlee89

Tap and pay is not available…

    • tyguy829

      wat??????

    • Weber

      Enable NFC. Voila!

      • cjlee89

        Still nothing..

        • Weber

That’s odd. I had to enable NFC before it would show the T&P option

          • cjlee89

In settings it shows up, but not in GW 🙁

  • Jason Carlisle

Just received two VZW Moto Xs at noon from FedEx. They were ordered Sunday. Both have already started the update!!!

    • Hmm, i ordered one on friday and i haven’t gotten a shipping notification yet….funny how that works. i’ll probably get it at my door before i get the shipping notification though. to which i will be very happy.

      • Jason Carlisle

I only got a notification that it was being assembled BUT if I click on Order Status in that email, then Order History on the Moto page it redirects to, there’s a tracking number. Click that and it’ll show. I was shocked, as it had a 6-day estimated delivery when we built them Sunday.

  • Do She

    KKMF!

  • enigmaco

Downloading it as I am typing this. It’s installing pretty quick.

    • enigmaco

      Damn optimizing 246 apps interesting

  • calum wilper

    Got it!!!!

  • Do She

    Ahhhhhhhh!

    • leffer

You’re rooted? What steps are you taking to make sure it doesn’t cause any issues while flashing?

      • Do She

        Not rooted – just stock.

        • leffer

Oh, I thought that toggle bar up top was from something that required root…

          • a3uge

            Power Toggles?

    • Cameron Laudick

what is that utility bar you have there??

      • La2da

Kinda looks like “Notification Toggle”. It’s on the play store.

        • Kanaga Deepan N

Thats PowerToggles by co called PainlessDeath.. Its the best notification bar with toggles app afaik

      • La2da

Looking closer, it’s slightly different from “Notification Toggle”.

    • Silver Veloz

YAY – My software update is going now.

    • Eric R.

      Moto beat Google
My Nexus 7 is still on Jelly Bean

      • George Burns

        Google is Moto

        • Eric R.

No, Google may own Moto, but they dont control them and weren’t the ones who pushed the update

      • Scottyb112

I was just saying that, I can’t believe my Nexus 7 still hasn’t received the update. i would of manually done it by now if I knew it would take this long. Just seemed like a pain in the butt with all those steps

  • raptor2679

    downloading….so slow for me

    • look at everyone who is hammering those servers….

  • m

And still I wait for the update on my N7 and N10….Sigh…..

    • palomosan

Yep, my N7HD still has not seen the Kitkat update and Verizon came through, it must be the end of the world.

      • LionStone

Yep nothing here either on N7HD! BOO! This is quite the conundrum! 😉

  • AndroidUser00110001
  • lgreg64

this is great news for people with moto phones and way to go verizon

  • theswillmerchant

    Android is upgrading…..

  • Ryan Heimerman

    Installing right now!

  • tyguy829

First things first. Can people please chime in on their root experience? Did the update remove root? Did OTA Rootkeeper work? Is it even needed? Please put experiences here. Oh and REMINDER: IF YOU USED PWNMYMOTO OR ROCKMYMOTO DO NOT TAKE THE UPDATE BECAUSE YOU NO LONGER HAVE A RECOVERY. You will need to flash stock recovery and possibly unroot.

  • kdiperi

really !?!?!?!?!? wow , i love my Note 3 but kudos to motorola . didnt see that coming

  • K1cks

    99% downloaded!

  • Michael

Holy mother of god! its downloading now.

  • Patmw123

Just got it booted. Can anyone say transparent notification and navigation bars?? I sure can.

    • Warwick

My bootload menu went up trying to install it the first time. Bootload fail. Seems to work now. 😀

    • tyguy829

don’t want to install mine until i know what the root situation is. someone said that tap and pay isn’t there. can you confirm???

      • Patmw123

Not seeing it where it is located on the Nexus 5.

        • tyguy829

          nooooo

        • still installing on Moto X but i don’t have it on 2012 nexus 7 either. updated on saturday and NFC is enabled. anyone else got a 2012 nexus 7 and found tap and pay or got google wallet to work?

      • cjlee89

Tap & Pay is in settings but Google Wallet is reporting not available.

        • Patmw123

Where in settings? I sure don’t see it. Not a big deal to me either way seeing as I wouldn’t use it.

          • cjlee89

Mine didn’t show up until I enabled NFC and rebooted.

          • Patmw123

            Good point. Overlooked that.

        • Anthony

Install the N5 version of Wallet. Play store version is old.
          http://phandroid.com/2013/11/14/nexus-7-google-wallet-apk/

    • Jason B
    • Patmw123

      Yep

      • Pierito

What wallpaper is that sir O_O

        • George Harry

          Stock Kitkat

          • Pierito

Wow i have a Nex 5 too. I feel very dumb hehe

        • Patmw123

Part of the Nexus 5 stock wallpaper pack. I believe droid-life has a download for the entire Nexus 5 wallpaper pack.

          • Pierito

Yeah I have a Nex 5…aka…I’m an idiot haha Thank you.

      • jbdan

Oh my that looks SO MUCH BETTER than the holo blue I can’t even say how much so! Grats to you motoX users!

        • Steve B

I’m not sure if those icons are kitkat specific or GEL specific. Because GEL, the MotoX does not have.

        • NexusMan

Just wish they were consistent with ditching the holo blue. It’s still there in the dialer and in the settings menu, for example.

      • turdbogls

curious if it has the google now integration like stock, or the google dialer (with the caller ID built in)

        • Patmw123

It has the new dialer with KitKat. I kind of like the change but could see how others maybe wouldn’t.

          • turdbogls

really? whats not to like about it? it is one of the best features IMO. T-9 dialing, local number searches, and business caller ID….yes please.
but i know others dont like change so….

          • Patmw123

I read somewhere that someone was complaining about having to press an extra time on the screen to pull up the dialer. I, however, prefer it over the former 100%.

          • turdbogls

lol, i guess i could see that. the things we complain about these days SMH

        • NexusMan

The Google Now integration isnt stock. That launcher is a layer added onto the N5.

  • Daeshaun Griffiths

    annnnnd booted omg its glorious.

  • Droid4Life

Finally fast updates!!! I think a new era has begun

  • kixofmyg0t

Moto works pretty fast now. Remember they had Kitkat booting literally the morning after it was announced.

Now just a couple weeks I guess til Verzon gives the green light to the DROID Ultra/Mini/MAXX Kitkat update.

    • Charlie R.

I’m really wondering if Moto will get 4.4 to all Moto X carrier variants before they push it to the Droid line.

With the last update the Verizon Moto X was last in line, and the Droids came after. I’m afraid it might be a bit longer before the Droids see it.

  • Daniel Clifford

Mine is coming in as I type this.

  • John Sanatar

Also, what weather app is that? That notification looks great.

    • Phil

      yes what app is that

      • Laetand

Also, how is it that I got Kit Kat on my Moto X before I got it on my Nexus 7?

    • kixofmyg0t

I wonder how Nexus 4 users feel right now…..

      • Josh P.

Fine. I’ve had daily quality 4.4 since day 1 of the Nexus 5 img release.

      • WickedToby741

Speaking as a Nexus 4 user, happy for Moto X users, but confused as to why I’m still waiting to receive 4.4.

    • BobbyP

    I’m impressed. My Nexus 7 still hasn’t received 4.4

    • dgbruin08

Same here. I have been hitting system update for a while and nothing on the N7.

    • Miles Prower

      My N7, N7-2013, and N4 haven’t seen the 4.4 update. I have an N5, so I haven’t felt the need to upgrade my N7s or N4 manually.

And now that my daily driver, my Moto X, has 4.4, I’m in even less of a hurry to upgrade my N7s and N4.

    • Flyinion

Same here on my 2013 one. Yeah yeah I know I can run over to XDA and get a hold of something quick. I’ve been in the middle of a move though since it dropped and had no time to do that.

  • Jason B

    Mine is downloading … woot!

  • John Sanatar

So were some of you not part of the soak test and getting the update?

    • eck79

I’m not part of the soak and am downloading through the system update

      • John Sanatar

        Good to know!

  • Daniel Ogilvie

Reminder: you can’t currently keep root with the consumer version after the 4.4 update.

    • tyguy829

did you experience this yourself? Did you actually update and lose root?

  • dgbruin08

    Just got it!

  • Chimera

Wow, that’s the first time checking for an update has ever worked for me.

    • Stevedub40

This is the first time I have checked for an update in like 3 years, lol. Been rooted and ROM’d for so long. Going all natural with the X this time around; see how it goes.

  • eck79

Downloading! Wasn’t there supposed to be a soak test?

    • Mark

The fact that some moron leaked it on this site I think is going to severely hurt any chances of being included in soak tests in the future, I’m assuming. Everyone loves to know when things come out but that just severely ruins the element of surprise. There was no soak test. What a shame. People can’t even follow an NDA, bunch of wanna-be Edward Snowdens running around now.

      • Miles Prower

I’m not even sure why there was going to be a soak test for this launch. The description of the soak test (which was posted on pretty much every Android blog and forum — not just here) clearly stated that the software is final, and that it would be rolled out to all Moto X owners in the near future. Well, I guess that future is now.

      • CHRIS42060

I know a former Droid X user who sent this site just about every Soak Test notification they ever got (Just forwarded the e-mails in some cases), and they kept getting invited.

        • Mark

It’s not even the fact that they leaked it. They took a screenshot from within the private forum area and posted it on here. Just goes to show you that nobody can be trusted with confidentiality.

          • CHRIS42060

If Motorola was that concerned with the actual confidentiality of these tests they would stop doing it. I have not known of a single one that was not leaked somewhere, and I am sure Motorola knows that too.

    • Seiga

Soak tests are mearly the final software that is sent to select individuals whom have signed up to get early access to the software. But that early access, it only means between 24 hours – 7 days. Sometimes they just skip it altogether and go through with the updates. Soak Tests are in no way some amazing access to new software. They’re just simply a way to make sure the update installs successfully, and if it doesn’t on a mass level, they hold off on pushing the update.

    • Kevin B

There were issues with the forum for the soak test, I;m not sure why they decided to just skip it. I guess the just had enough faith in their internal testing, or their ability to push another update quickly if they need to.
