Deal: Costco Offering $60 in Google Play Gift Cards for Only $53.99

Hurry on over to Costco’s website, as they are currently selling $60 of Google Play gift cards for just $53.99. While there is still $2 of shipping and handling, that’s still a few bucks cheaper than buying the gift cards out right. Nothing wrong with saving a few George Washington bills every now and then.

We don’t know if they are on sale in store for the same price, but if you planned on heading to Costco soon, feel free to check for us.

I work in the electronics in Costco and can confirm we stock them in store. Same price 53.99.

  • Mr E

Assuming you can get these in-store too, it seems like you’ll probably only save about $1.70 or so after sales tax.. right?

    • Anonymous

      No sales tax on these.

  • Chris

you have to be crazy not to love costco. Deals like this. Free samples that on a busy saturday afternoon that can make a meal. $1.50 hot dog/soda combo….. Low prices on gas. ($2.99 a gal. at my costco)

I have found that with my chrome cast I have become some what lazy in the sense I no longer have been scouring the web for shows and movies and just chipping out the few bucks for the ease of use(to the play store) Some TV show seasons seem a little steep especially the whole season price as opposed to the per episode price. Now I just need a new TV show to start over at the beginning and I can use one of those gift cards and save a few bucks.

  • Stnkycheezman

how many cards are you allowed to use when purchasing a nexus? and I can confirm that the store has the deal

    • Jem

Zero. You can’t use gift cards to buy anything hardware related.

      • Stnkycheezman

Thanks, I thought I had a master plan brewing in my head just now.

        • Ian

          🙂 …master plan to save 10%?

        • huskerhog

I did too when I asked my family to get me Play cards for my birthday that I was going to use towards a Nexus 7. I received over $100 worth. I guess I’ll be watching lots of movies.

        • Just use one of Staples $30-$50 off coupons that pop up all the time.

  • mjnitz02

These are definitely for sale in-store at the same price. I saw them in a huge Kiosk right as I went in the door yesterday afternoon.

    • Ian

We need visual confirmation, go back and take pics!

    • Dillon Larsen

      In store as well!

  • RedXander

It might have been worth it if you could use them on devices or even accessories but you can’t

    • Jeff

      My point exactly.

    • huskerhog

I didn’t realize this and just received over $100 of Google Play gift cards that I was going to put towards a nexus 7. Crap.

  • Eric

I don’t think its worth busting my wallet open for.

  • skitchbeatz

So basically you save a 7%.

  • Good_Ole_Pinocchio

    I mean 60$ is still 60$ …. Not sure if I’ll ever spend 60$ in the playstore…..

Then again…. movies, and tv shows… hmmmm I did just spend 20$ a pop for the Wire.

    • Chris

Not that you’d be spending the $60 all at once.

      • Good_Ole_Pinocchio

true true. But to come up with 54 dollars just to save 6$ and have the 54 just sitting there…. I don’t think I can do that.

        • Brian Barcus

Does that mean you have somewhere else to earn 10% simple interest on those $54? Of course, if you don’t have any plans to buy anything the cards can be used for, then you’re right to pass on them. A good deal on something you wouldn’t have bought otherwise is a bad deal.

    • TalonDesigns

I’m personally thinking it would be a nice idea for the little fandroids that may be running around the house. At least at my place anyway.

  • Mike Podruchny

I just spotted these in the store a couple days ago.
