Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini Arrives on U.S. Soil in November

galaxy s4 mini

This morning, outside of Galaxy Gear compatibility news, Samsung announced that their Galaxy S4 Mini will arrive in the U.S. next month (as in November) on Verizon, Sprint, AT&T, and US Cellular. US Cellular and AT&T have already confirmed that they will carry the phone, we just haven’t seen pricing yet. We have also seen press images of Verizon’s variant with massive home button branding, but no official word or pricing either.

For those not familiar, the Galaxy S4 Mini is indeed the little brother to the flagship S4. It sports a 4.3-inch qHD display, 1.7GHz dual-core processor, 8MP camera, 1.5GB RAM, 16GB internal storage, microSD slot for expandable storage, and a 1900mAh battery. The S4 Mini runs Android 4.2.2 out of the box with Samsung’s TouchWiz skin over the top.

Since this phone is the smaller and less powerful brother, we’d imagine pricing will be very respectable.

    I am
curious how it will work! In my workplace we use minis as corporate cell
phones, but it’s time to change them. Could it be somehow connected to Ozeki
Phone System XE? It is a Windows-based VoIP PBX and I would like to get to know
whether there is any application for this?

The Droid Mini kicks the crap out of this.

    • Jeremy Gross

with its sd card slot and small storage for sure…….oh wait

      • Casey Jones

Technologically wise, the Droid mini IS better. Look at the stats

        • Jeremy Gross

true, i wish this phone had an hd screen

Why would they call this an S4 Mini, S4 Lite or S3.5 seems a bit more truthful. When I think mini anything, I simply think of the exact same as the original, just in a smaller package.

  • Daniel

I’d be REALLY tempted if the Mini had a better button configuration or was waterproof and more like the S4 Activ, only smaller like the Mini…really, though, where’s the Verizon HTC One Mini?

  • kixofmyg0t

Even the DROID Mini is better than this.

  • SaltySwampNutz

    Yawn..

  • Downtoearth2

can’t wait for Apple to ban import of this device.

  • Good_Ole_Pinocchio

Hmm. Look who’s back. One update for GV on Hangouts for IOS and someone disappears for 2 days… iPod Touch was missing also.

I can never comprehend what verizon is thinking.

    • Jarred Sutherland

I can help. Just imagine whatever Verizon can do you burn the customer and that’s probably on their road map!

Classic case of ‘too little too late’.
