Galaxy Note 3 Now Available From Verizon, “Verizon30” Discount Saves You $90

galaxy note 3 black

Didn’t have a chance to pre-order the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 through Verizon? That’s not a terrible thing, since the phone is now available online and in stores. But to make that news even better, we wanted to point out that the “VERIZON30” coupon code that has been active for months still works. So rather than paying the $299 on-contract price, you can walk away with the Note 3 for $209 (plus taxes and activation fee). Not bad, right?

If you have yet to decide on whether or not the Note 3 is for you, be sure to read our review.

Oh, the Galaxy Gear smartwatch is also available (our review), though I can’t seem to find it anywhere on Verizon’s site after spending a solid 15 minutes looking. Not that you should be strongly considering one anyway, but it should be up for sale. If anyone actually finds it, be sure to post a link in the comments. Edit:  Link to the Gear.

Cheers Pete and Matt!

I purchased my note 3 without the discount on 9/28 during the unlimited data glitch. I was able to get Verizon to retroactively apply the discount after an hour on hold and numerous reps. $90 off my next bill!!

  • AC

Wasn’t easy but after about an hour and a half on the phone I got them to refund my card $90 from the pre order. First spoke with a rep and supervisor who couldn’t verify the promo code and were unwilling to help, then called back and spoke with a rep who transferred me to sales who finally transferred me to credits and disputes where they took care of it 1-2-3. Good luck people!

  • luckyman808

i used the promo code verizon30 online and selected pickup. it showed that it was suppose to be $250 something with cost of note 3, upgrade fee and tax. I went into the store for the pickup, and the reps were stunned! i thought they caught something in the system and wouldn’t give me my phone. Come to find out, they asked for my card and said that my total is $125 and change!!!! it was amazing!!! i just said ok and walked right out!!! loving the glitches randomly. =]

btw, i kept my unlimited data via alternate upgrade to a basic phone. =]

    • j6nguyen

Exact same thing happened to me yesterday! No idea why. My rep was stunned and showed it to his coworker too.

  • Paul Craven

Just got the discount applied to my order after getting in on the on-line Customer Service chat and sending the rep a screen shot of the discount on a dummy order…So, yay! Thanks guys!

    • Rob

what did you say? I tried on the phone 5 times the best I got was I could get the discount if I returned my order and reorder in store. But, then I risk a restocking fee and losing my unlimited data plan.

      • tabsaz

Do the online chat support – they’re way better than the phone people.

  • j6nguyen

Was able to snag my vzw note 3 today for $90. I bought it online for in store pick up using the 30% coupon. They ended up charging me $186 total after tax and upgrade charge. I just shut up and left the store quickly.

    • laheelahee

just wondering, did you get the black or white?

      • j6nguyen

  • Dang Its Trung

Just bought mine from Best Buy, think they’ll price match? Or I suppose I’ll have to return it and go to a verizon store

    • rco666

I did got them to match, it’s just painful, had to explain that it’s a vzw online coupon, and had to actually do the full upgrade online to apply the coupon (didn’t click submit of course 🙂 Still had to get approval from the mgr.

  • pbolton70

Damn was hoping the coupon code worked for the Gear watch

  • Krishaun27

Does this (or any) coupon code work in-store?

  • Diar

I exchanged my Droid Maxx for this today AND kept unlimited. They said the system would recognize an exchange as the same order so the plan shouldn’t change. My new receipt says unlimited. So if you took advantage of the unlimited glitch and want to change phones to the G2 or Note 3 or whatever you should be able to. There is a $35 restocking fee, though and I couldn’t get the Verizon30 code over the phone.

    • GaryGary

you exchanged the phone online or in store?

  • Rob Cossin

I am the admin for our companies Verizon account, we get 25% off accessories. I placed my upgrade online, added in a car charger and the Gear, my discount only showed up on the car charger. I never saw a place to type in VERIZON30. I placed the order and called my rep, she put me on hold for several minutes, explained that my company discount is not valid for new phones and not valid for Samsung accessories, but gave me the $90 and the 25% off the Gear, so just call and complain hopefully you get someone wiling to work with you. I paid $209.99 for the phone, $224.99 for Gear and $22.49 for the charger, not bad especially when it’s on the companies dime.

  • tabsaz

Guys, I just got my Note 3 preorder from the glitch weekend and they screwed me – my plan is changed to DATA PACKAGE 2GB/$30 on the receipt/contract that was in the box and it does not match what I have in my email and in my screenshots.

I’m going to call them in a sec, but I have a feeling they screwed us here.

    • Screwed vzw customer

      Have they told you anything?

    • crazed_z06

Call and they should be able to fix it… there’s a 100+ page thread on slickdeals about the glitch.

Everyone getting their preorders today seem to be having the same problem where they’ve been dropped down to 2GB.. Calling Verizon seems to fix it.

      • tabsaz

Just talked to both a CS rep and her supervisor – both told me that they’d never heard of anyone retaining unlimited data and that I’d have to accept 2GB tiered data or return the phone. 🙁 🙁

        • tabsaz

Both also tried to tell me that I “didn’t even need unlimited because you only use X per month” and crap like that too. Yeah, because I’ve been on a 3G phone that is physically incapable of using a lot of data lol.

          • crazed_z06

Hmm.. I got mine today and had the same problem with the reps saying they had no clue what I was talking about. The CSR said her manager didnt know what I was talking about either. After threatening to return the phone and cancel service, they put me on hold and came back and said something like, “I found your original order and the person that put it in noted that you will keep unlimited data, so you should be good now”

When I log into Verizon, it does show the new phone and unlimited data still, so assume I’m good to go. You might just try calling again and explaining this whole fiasco and see if you can get a CSR that knows what’s going on.

          • tabsaz

I’m on Live Chat with someone who knows what’s up now – hopefully this is about to be resolved positively. I just emailed her the screenshots.

          • tabsaz

Success! I got the unlimited back *AND* they gave me the VERIZON30 $90 credit. The online chat worked a TON better than actually calling did. Try that if you’re having issues with this guys.

  • Really??!!

THey just told me that they will not honor the unliitedm

  • Really??!!

Got my pre order and I ordered it when the glitch was going on and Verizon switched me to a tiered 2gb plan. What’s up with that?

    • tabsaz

      Same thing happened to me.

  • Chris Williford

Can you use this coupon code if you are buying the phone off contract? (to keep unlimited data)

  • Mike Hilal

Too bad that coupon code does not work for retail purchases.

  • Bootleg Zani

So the real question is can I rock this on a full retail price?

    • Eric Kyle

It’s been answered a few times. No, unfortunately.

  • RiChDAiLLeST1

I dont know how or why, but i only paid $130 for this phone. I ordered today throught the vzw website with the verizon30 promo code. The bill came out to $240 after activation and tax. Then I went to the store to pick it up and the rep had me sign a bill of $130??? I checked my credit card statement and only got charged for $130. Can anyone fill me in?

    • Krishaun27

How did you get the option to pick it up in-store, I thought online orders were mailed only?

  • Chippah

OK – just got off the phone with Verizon Customer service.
They are notating the account and the VERIZON30 promo will be
added to the order, WHOOO HOOO!

My Note 3 will be here via Fedex any moment.

This was a BTA Note 3 Preorder. I have the call recorded

  • jvj

I called Verizon and they said the coupon code does not exist.

    • Chippah

call back and get a NON moron.
The code is valid – go to the site, put a note 3 in your cart, go thru the motions and add the code, it drops to $209

      • jvj

No one in Verizon’s customer service knows anything about the code. I called the store, same result. Is there a way I can communicate with you directly to get more info? I don’t want to post my email on the blog

  • carluverdrm2004

So I’m assuming there is no way this Verizon30 coupon code could ever work on getting a custom Moto X, whenever Verizon picks up Motomaker next month?

  • astr0ng

FYI….Just got Verizon to credit my account for 110 for my preorder. They wouldnt credit my credit card but after some sweet talking they said they will apply the 110 credit to my account for my next months bills. I just told them i had a coupon code and I completely forgot to apply it when I made the order.

    • Bigwavedave25

Wow, that was very nice of the rep!

  • Gregg O’Connell

i have VZW should i get the LG G2 or the Note 3 (I currently have an iPhone 5S)

    • Joshua

      Note 3.

      • Gregg O’Connell

        @bd1e2c07036c340a0c3d02386de6ac83:disqus any specific reason why?

  • RaptorOO7

So why shouldn’t I be able to call Verizon and say, I will just return my pre-order and then re-order to save $90, they should offer me a credit of $90.

    • Chippah

Call them, – they will add the credit.
I just got off the phone with “Ramona” and I recorded the call,
it took 14min on the phone of her checking,

I preordered the N3 on 9/20 and used Bill to account.

  • 1WallpaperFactory

The important thing is the new wallpapers on Galaxy Note 3! Check them out at http://www.mygalaxynote3wallpaper.com

  • Mike

Very nice! I just did the upgrade swap from my line (unlimited) to my wife’s (tiered) and got the note3 only to see this when I got home. Called Verizon and got the $90 credited to my account! Thanks DL

    • JohnDoe

What did yous ay for the credit? Called three times, NO GO on my pre-ordered.

      • Chippah

I just got off the phone with them too, im a pre-order Bill to account order.
they are notating the account for the credit before the huge charge drops on the bill,

    • Kevin

Verizon wouldn’t let me do that. Line 1(unlimited data) is ready for an upgrade. Line 2 has the cheapest 500mb plan. I wanted to upgrade line 2 with the Note 3, and then deactivate it and use it on my line(number 3). Verizon said to do that line 1 would lose the unlimited data.

      • Craig Lambert

I don’t think that’s true. I’m going to get pissed if that’s the case. I’ve heard this works. I’m going to upgrade my son’s Incredible 2 to a Note 3. I’m then going to transfer the Incredible 2 back to him. From there I will take over the Note 3 and then he can take over my Galaxy S III. http://www.droid-life.com/2013/09/17/keep-unlimited-data-verizon-upgrade/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+DroidLife+%28Droid+Life%29

        • Kevin

I think it’s BS from a stupid employee. We have 5 lines, 2 ready for upgrades, and only one line is NOT unlimited(nor is it ready for an upgrade). After several prior questions I asked, “So there is no way I can get a Note 3 for $300 without someone losing unlimited?” He said yes. I directly asked about the one NOT unlimited data phone stealing an upgrade, and he said the non unlimited data line can steal an upgrade, but if it’s an upgrade that was on an unlimited data line, that line loses the unlimited data. I think/hope he is wrong. I plan to check another store.

          • Craig Lambert

Yeah, it’s a loophole that they really may not even know about. I’d just do it yourself. They’ll do everything in their power to get people off of unlimited. You can transfer the phones online or call it in if you have a problem. I wasn’t planning on doing this until March for my son’s birthday but this deal has me wanting to do upgrade sooner.

I placed everything in my cart online and it didn’t force me to upgrade anything. The hard part for me is getting it through the finance committee (read: wife). 🙂 We’ll see what happens. Good luck!

  • Chippah

I have learned my lesson with “PRE-ORDERS”
You don’t get the device any faster.
You lose out, in this case on $90 friggin bucks..

    • Robert Macri

Return it… buy it again with the code.

      • Chippah

Called verizon, OF COURSE they dont know ANYTHING! about it..
CSR gave me her personal email and asked me to send her a screenshot. and i will get a call back, if i dont, then this makes Verizon callback promise 5 now that they lied to me about.

        • Chippah

REP #2 was able to note the account and it will be credited,

  • EvanTheGamer

AWESOME! That’s a really excellent deal! Comes to a total of $239.99! And store pick-up, too! SCORE!

Thanks for the tip, D-L! 🙂

    • Matt Hanes

Arg, it didn’t give the option for in store pickup. And they wouldn’t apply the code at the store so I have to wait for tomorrow’s delivery. First world problems!

      • Jon Barnhart

Same here! Was not happy about that but don’t have time to play with it today anyway…but wanted to make sure that I had it for the weekend!

  • vwbeetlvr

Sold my SGS3, my SGN3 is on the truck for delivery. When I ship out my SGS3 to the buyer, what should I do about the SIM card? Include it? Call Verizon and tell them I sold the phone and the SIM card no longer belongs to me?

    • vwbeetlvr

Looks like the SIM should be tied to my account, so NO I will not include it.

      • tomn1ce

Why would you think about including the sim card with the GS3?

        • vwbeetlvr

So as to be a nice guy and not inconvenience the buyer. I see now that I should not, so I will not.

          • tomn1ce

I assumed that you were using that sim card on your device and would be tied to your account like you mention on you comment above.

    • Chippah

whats this got to do with a promo code?

      • vwbeetlvr

It’s got to do with people buying the new GN3 and possibly getting rid of their old one.

  • dazz1996

How do I buy the phone off the verizon website out right with out a phone plan no activation fee and use this coupon code?

    • dazz1996

ok i see now that the code will not work

  • Alex

How do you get the coupon ???

  • Jaxson

Does this coupon code work if you go in to the store and buy the phone? Like if you tell the representative.

    • flosserelli

Nope. Only good for new contracts & upgrades :/

      • Jaxson

Yea, what if I go to upgrade at the store though? Thanks!

        • Daniel Flores

Code only works online…but you can order and select ‘in store pick up’

  • James Hill

$90 discount is cool, but the $30 something dollar activation fee is still keeping me away.

    • Craig Lambert

Yeah, the $30 activation sucks but it’s there no matter what phone gets upgraded (for the most part). All the carriers seems to do this now. It’s still a $60 savings if you discount the activation fee. $240 for a $300 subsidized phone is still damn good.

  • Sure wish I could afford one. Thanks to VZW’s unlimited data policy my GNex will have to die outright before I replace it. I don’t have the $ for a new full price phone every 2 years.

    • nwd1911

I hear you. I’m stuck in the same spot, but with my recent loss of the employee discount (it’s only been 2.5 year, C’MON Verizon) my bill is so high I’m considering going tiered to drop my plan about $45/mo. The Note 3 is making my decision all that more difficult if I can pick it up for $209. I’m not a power data user so I think I can get by, but the thought of losing unlimited is painful.

      • Dollyllama

If you’re going to go that route and get rid of unlimited data, at least do an assumption of liability (sell the account on ebay…they go for $500ish), make some cash, then start a new line and get the tiered data AND your subsidized price phone. At least you get something out of the deal then.

        • nwd1911

You sir, have changed my life (or at least my day). I hadn’t heard about this process before, but this makes my decision all that much easier. eBay, here I come. Thanks!

          • noc007

Don’t forget that the number goes with the line. If you want to keep you number, you have to port it out first and assign a new number to it. All of the reps I talked to said this can’t be done. Simple solution is to port it out to an existing line (I don’t know if this can be done within VZW, but I’ve done it with porting to an existing line on another carrier), test to make sure the port has started, then assign a new number to the VZW line. To test if the number port has started, easiest thing to do is make an outbound call to a phone that’s not with either carrier (like a land line) with the phone that the number is being ported TO; if the Caller ID shows up as the number being ported, the port process has started and a new number can be assigned to the old line.

          • CraigBoyte

Question about this, wouldn’t it still be in your name? If they did anything illegal or scammed someone from the account wouldn’t you be liable?

          • CraigBoyte

Never mind, I just read the AOL stuff

        • noc007

Can someone expect to reasonably get $500 for each line? Last I looked a few months ago, it was generally $200 and sometimes up to $300 with a bidding war.

      • Stephen Cox

Yeah, if I lost my Talk and Text Plus Data $20 Discount on all 5 of my lines, I’d be hurting. My bill would go from $220/month to about $350.

If they pulled that kind of crap on me, I’d cancel everything and go prepaid on PagePlus. 3G is good enough for me.

      • michael arazan

Just buy a used phone for half the price or less, Note 2 is a good replacement or any phone a year old.

Remember Verizon has a 12 month payment plan that allows you a year to buy a new device and still keep your unlimited.

      • Nathaniel Guillory

Upgrade on another line, activate the phone and let the other line use it, then switch it over to your line. But you must have a line that has limited data. Just upgraded mine on my lil brothers, it worked fine and I used the promo to save the $90 plus he gave his $50 rebate off his S3.

    • You just missed the Verizon online glitch that let unlimited data customers buy it at the subsidized pricing 🙁 Keep your eye on the blogs, it might happen again

  • tyler J

If i do in store pick up can i just walk in quick and pick up my phone and unbox it myself or do they go through the whole setup process?

    • Ed G

The store is required to do setup for you. I asked this specific question when I got my G2.

  • jpGrind

Anybody know if this will work if you’re paying full retail?

    • dprk

Just tried VERIZON30 and RMN30 and both don’t work for full retail purchases..

      • jpGrind

    • Daniel Flores

That’s been asked and answered…check down further…but no

      • jpGrind

        Figured as much. Thanks.

  • cpoe89

What if I got a “loaner phone” last week using the verizon30 coupon, now going to the store to return/exchange for the Note 3? Will I still be able to use the coupon?

  • grapedrinkjuice

I love this site!! Just got the SN3 from Verizon Wireless! And I am keeping my unlimited data by upgrading a secondary line!

    • Jeff C

did you transfer your upgrade over or did you upgrade a second line with its upgrade?

  • s0uth

man…. to bad i didnt see this during the glitch. was to much in a hurry to place the order. lol.

    • Daniel Flores

Man..that sux…I used this code during the glitch and got my G2 for $140 and kept unlimited data. At least you got to place your order…many didn’t.

      • s0uth

        aw luuuuucky…..

yea thats how im looking at it as well… thanks.

      • Philip J. Fry

Yea, I was one of the people that didn’t see it in time 🙁

    • Stephen Lucas

didn’t matter you can’t use this on pre-order as far as I’m aware only if item is stocked

  • kofifi

i used RMN30 to get the 30% off

  • sr_erick

Does that coupon work if you are buying at full retail?

    • Daniel Flores

VERIZON30 only works with new contract. Not Full Retail…now, the RMN30, I don’t know…I’ll see if I can find out…

      • dprk

Doesn’t look like RMN30 works either if you’re purchasing at full retail…just tried.

        • Daniel Flores

          Aww…LOL…I did too…doesn’t work. That’d be $209 off!…

  • hey guys, so if i want to leave verizon. what would be the cheapest ATT or Tmobile plan if i want to get the nexus 5?

    • tomn1ce

I here many talking about a $30/month plan on tmobile….

      • Don’t see that on the website anymore…where is it?

        • tomn1ce

I looked for it myself some time ago and didn’t find either. I believe someone said that once you receive the sim card and go to the website that it would appear. Try chatting with a tmobile rep on line maybe they’ll point to the right direction.

  • c-lo

anybody verify if this can be used in stores?

    • Matt Hanes

It cannot I went to the store and tried it today.

  • Jason Blomgren
    • There it is! Sort of…wtf is Verizon doing.

    • Open1Your1Eyes0

So that ends up being $209 on the Galaxy Gear then. 🙂

      • Doesn’t look like it works on accessories. 🙁

        • decidedtochangename

It’s OK, probably isn’t worth it at $210 either.

        • Open1Your1Eyes0

          Darn 🙁

That’s okay, I’m already satisfied with my Sony Smartwatch 2 anyways. 😉

      • flosserelli

Which is still $200 more than it is worth.

  • Dan

Sold my note 2 @ 6:18am picked up my 3 in Boston at 7:55am this morning.. Love it!

    • SA_NYC

Mind me asking what you got for your 2? I’m thinking of doing the same.

      • SA_NYC

Oh, and also, what was the final tally for the 3?

      • T4rd

Same here. Gonna wait until I see some Note 3s on Swappa/eBay though so I can at least save tax and maybe a little more. There’s always people on there selling their upgrades soon after a phone launches.

        • SA_NYC

          Yeah that’s a good plan.

      • s0uth

i sold mine for 250. no box or accessories with a banged up but fully working home button.

        • SA_NYC

      • decidedtochangename

If you go on swappa you can see how many the lest few sold for.

    • Dan

      I sold for 250.

  • Unlimited data + $299 for this phone still beats waiting and getting it for $209 with tiered data 🙂

    • grapedrinkjuice

I agree, I kind of regret not upgrading my unlimited data line when the Verizon website was glitchy. But oh well, I got to upgrade my secondary line and keep unlimited data… better than nothing.

      • I wish I hadn’t just bought the G2 a week before, but now I can sell it and actually make money on this upgrade!

    • sheenajessen

      my neighbor got a
stunning yellow Mercedes-Benz M-Class ML63 AMG by working part time off of a
      pc… redirected here http://www.Pro67.ℂom

      • Butters619

        Well good for your neighbor.

        • Mr. Stoch

Butters! How many times have I told you to stay away from the neighbors? Leave Ms. Sheenajessen alone.

    • RaptorOO7

Well I have tiered data, called Verizon CS and was told they can’t find the code. I created a cart online and it worked just fine. So I printed it out and will take my sealed Fed Ex box into the store tomorrow, return it and if I HAVE TO order a new phone for Monday delivery. $90 IS $90. I will just put it towards a Galaxy Gear anyways. Or I will just ask them to give me a GG for $209.99 either way I AM getting my money back.

      • cjesqip

I asked for the VERIZON30 promo on my two recently purchased Note 3 devices, but I had no success.
I called into the VZW customer care, and they said that the promotion is a scam, and they said that they have no record of it ever existing. They said this repeatedly despite the fact that I told them that the promotional code works when I entered in on their VZW web site. Constance (the CSR) kept saying it was a SCAM. I persisted until she basically said that she wouldn’t talk to me anymore until she had a chance to talk to their legal department. She gave me her direct line, and I tried it after a couple hours. Immediate voicemail recording… big surprise VZW.

    • RaptorOO7

Unless you are already on tiered data in which case its worth saving $90. But I do agree $90 isn’t worth if IF you still have unlimited.

$699 to keep my grandfathered $80 a month Unlimited Data plan from Verizon… the total price evens out over two years.

    • Justin

How do you figure spending $299 on this phone keeps your unlimited?

      • There was a glitch a couple weeks ago that allowed unlimited data users to buy phones at the subsidized pricing.

    • DealMasterXXL

Thanks to the DL post (http://www.droid-life.com/2013/09/17/keep-unlimited-data-verizon-upgrade/) on
“How to: Upgrade Phones at Verizon and Keep Unlimited Data” I was able to get a Note 3 for $209 AND keep my unlimited data. I used the upgrade available on my moms line (she loves her Samsung Haven lol) along with the discount code and I still have two more upgrades available for my other two lines both with unlimited data.

i just want to put the pen in any way i please. And you can touch the back and menu buttons with the pen? Major annoyance on the 2, glad to see them fix it.

    • Adrynalyne

      Thats what she said.

I’m still trying to figure out if Verizon removed blocking mode and put the persistent WiFi notification on this phone as they did with all previous Samsung phones. Can anyone confirm this?

    • william

There is a blocking mode menu and switch under settings, I bought the phone this morning, and I have not had wifi on yet.

      • william

(but FYI I have not seen any wifi notifications at all)

      • T4rd

Awesome, thanks for reporting! I hope that’s a good indicator that Verizon listened to all the complaints about this in previous phones then and that they restore these features in the 4.3 update on the S3/S4 and Note 2.

  • Open1Your1Eyes0

$90 is a nice chunk of change. I wonder if this discount works for the $699 off contract price as well. 🙂

    • Robert Willis

You took the words right out of my mouth.

    • T4rd

I would say definitely not. I don’t think there has ever been a way to discount off-contract Verizon phones. It’s funny to see them sell 1-2 year old phones for $600 too.

  • Eric Kyle

Can you use this coupon code in stores?

    • T4rd

You should be able to order online and choose to pick-up in store nearby.

    • Bionicman

I’m going to try it. I have my appointment with VZW for this morning. I’ll post afterwards and let everyone know if it works.

      • Eric Kyle

Awesome. I plan on going after work today, so I am really curious to know if this works. Thanks!

        • MikeCiggy

So when I was adding my girlfriend to my share plan recently. (Just me and a friend on the account). We wanted to buy online so we could use this discount. However she wanted to use her credit card to pay for the phone and online we could not use a separate card. So we went to the store and made the purchase and they would not honor the coupon code.

If you do an in-store pickup and purchase the phone using your online account and you don’t have the problem we had you should be fine. But if your paying in the store good chance they won’t honor it.

          • T4rd

Do you know if that was an authorized retailer or a corperate Verizon store? A lot of times, those authorized retailers are not willing to work with you on anything and try to screw you out of as much money as possible since they’re privately owned. You may have better luck dealing with a corperate store for things like this in the future if that’s an option for you. Usually they’re willing to bend a few rules or at least look into helping you out before stone walling you like the private retailers do. The small store near me sometimes doesn’t even participate in sales that Verizon advertises online or in commercials, which is horsecrap.

          • MikeCiggy

I’m 99% sure it’s a legit Verizon retailer. They have been there forever and do not have an addition name attached to it (ie. World Cellular’s Verizon Store) and they just had their store redone like the rest of the Verizon retailers. She said it was an online discount only. I did not fight much, I could have asked for a manager and insisted but I wasn’t trying to spend all day there. You can give a try.

      • c-lo

        we are waiting 🙂

        • Bionicman

so unfortunately in store they would not honor any of the online discounts including the VERIZON30 (I also had a upgrade fee waiver as well). So now i’m trying to do it online with store pickup but with bill to later. not looking good so far Grrrrrr

      • Good_Ole_Pinocchio

Why don’t you buy it online and just pick up in store?

        • Bionicman

i would but i want to pay in 2 payments. so im only going to pay some of the price of the phone today and then the rest im going to have them add it to my bill.

  • Porkchop

Aw man. No way to get them to retroactively apply this to the unlimited data loophole preorders, huh?

I guess that’s the price I pay for keeping my data.

    • T4rd
    • Jay F

      Small price to pay 🙂

    • Matthew Yourchisin

Call up Customer Service. I just called two days ago and asked them to apply the VERIZON30 promotion to my upgrade placed on 9/29, as I was unable to at check out. The rep applied a $30.00 credit to my account. He even asked how I managed to keep unlimited data 😉
