Just in time for the annual September fare increase.

Those crying about it not having holo. Remember a few things

    1. Google does not require apps to use holo. This is something even the hardcore android fan need understand and know. Sure a consistent design is nice but why be like apple and force all apps to look the same?
    2. The average joe doesn’t give a crap about holo and what not. Remember its not 2009 anymore. Everyone uses android now.
    3. The app was built by a 3rd party for Trimet. So despite trimets ever so loathe relationships and their focus on light rail instead of bus service, blame the 3rd party
    4. Should I go on?

Huzzah – those ticket machines are the worst!

I installed and bought a 10 trip pack, but haven’t had a chance to use a ticket yet. There were a couple of quirky things getting it set up (never seen an app that asked me to reboot before, what is this, Win98?) but other than that it seems well laid out.

The lack of holo doesn’t bother me seeing how a dedicated design would slow delivery. Assuming it works, and iOS-ported design is far better than nothing.

What is that strobe in the bottom right for?

How great!! I used to work in Portland and this would’ve been so great. Too bad i bought a car and work in the Couve now. This will be great when i wanna park at Parkrose or Cascade and head into Beaverton or downtown.

    Definitely needs some holo love.

I’m really getting sick of terrible iOS app ports.

As a Portlander I appreciate this post, thank you :)

I downloaded the app on my N4 while riding the bus home last night and it seems pretty decent.. it asked me to restart it once as it was launching.. haven’t put my credit card in yet but I can tell you I’m really excited about this because the ticketing machines don’t sell tickets for future rides anymore!

Only reason they posted this is because the website is based in Portland witch is nice to see considering I’m from the Portland area as well.

    Have you tried it yet?

    1. Failed first download
    2. Rebooted app twice before it would let me in
    3. It has crashed on me several times
    4. It looks like an iOS app…

    We can do better Portland!
