Play With This Cool 3D Model of the Android Kit Kat Figure

Kit Kat

Google threw us a curveball yesterday when they announced that Android 4.4 would be called Kit Kat. Unsurprisingly enough, I found myself at the store later that day, pleasuring this new desire I had to eat Kit Kat bars. Good move, Google. Anyways, some legendary person has created a 3D model of the Android Kit Kat figure, and you can play with it yourself by using your computer’s mouse. It is extremely detailed, as much as a candy bar can be, so go take a break from all of this Samsung news and have some fun.

  • Elliot Kotis

This is the easter egg, I wonder.

  • MikeKorby

I cant wait for them to start selling Android Kit Kat bars!

Please be real,, please be real.. please be real..

Damn, it’ll probably be sold right next to the Motorola Nexus with a completely unlocked bootloader.

  • asten77

Needs a chocolatey-r texture, but still, awesome!

  • Nicktrance

Tried to bite it, tastes like plastic :(.

  • John Clausen

Can’t wait to see the Android shaped Kit-Kats

  • AndroidUser00110001

I would like to see how many KitKats were sold yesterday. CVS in my area had them on sale, 2 for $2. So I had to get 4 for 4 bucks…

    • michael arazan

So they were 4 for 4?

      • umbrellacorp

        4.44 after tax?

  • Jimmyjammer

    confectionery perfectionery. :p
    love me some kitkat.

  • WAldenIV

There once was a man named Tim-o-tato
Went to the store to buy some potatoes
    He bought Kit Kats instead
The pleasure went right to his head
Woke up three days later in Barbados

    • umbrellacorp

      This deserves more upvotes.

  • master94

I just realized something. Does this mean hardcore Android haters will stop eating kit kat? If so more for me:)

  • abqnm

Maybe once KitKat is released, MotoMaker will have a KitKat styled back for the X…

    No thanks.

    • Remember when Gizmodo was a respectable publication? (Pre iPhone 4 scandal)

      • umbrellacorp

What’s the iPhone scandal? I don’t know that one.

  • Nick

    I almost licked my GS3’s screen….. Grrr….. Now I want a kit kat :-/

  • Tim242

    If only KitKats were Vegan…

    • TalonDesigns

Chocolate comes from a bean (kinda). 🙂 Close enough for me!

      • Guest

        milk isn’t

      • Tim242

Some chocolate is Vegan, milk chocolate isn’t: (

        • TalonDesigns

Yah. I know. I was just having fun 🙂 I also think that Bacon should be a vegetable, so… Yah. That.

          • Tim242

Well, it’s not. So, no cheating! Haha

          • strangeatranger

            A vegan and a happy guy… ;D

          • Tim242

Who knew it was possible to be meat and dairy free…and still be SO happy? : )

    • umbrellacorp

Tim, I’ve never downvoted you before but now I feel obligated. Bacon or GTFO.

      • Tim242

All meats cause health issues, but pork is the worst offender. Heart disease is the #1 killer in our country. Meat is the #1 cause of heart disease. Meat is loaded with cholesterol and saturated fats that clog up your body. So downvote me all you want, I choose to prevent my early preventable sickness and death. : )

        • TalonDesigns

I certainly will never dock anyone for their choices (upvote). Bacon or not. 🙂 But I will say this.

It’s not entirely what you eat (jumbling all meat into that category). It’s what you eat, and what you do with your body to help digest it.

Every morning for breakfast, I eat a 1/4lb slab of sausage, two pieces of bacon, one egg and two pancakes. Smothered in tobasco sauce and maple syrup. For lunch, I eat a 1/2lb cheezeburger with more bacon, and a large order of french fries (NOT FAST FOOD).

My doctor has told me that I haven’t been in better health in the last 10 years that he has been seeing me. I personally haven’t felt better in the last 20+.

At 43, I’m going to enjoy eating my beef. Cycling 32 miles every day, and being highly active will make sure that I can.

***Sorry everyone – for making this post a topic about food. But hey – at least we are talking about BACON! 😀

          • Well said. If you sit around and do nothing, sure, eating tons of that stuff will be bad for you in the long run. But hey, something’s gotta fuel those 32 mile rides.

        • umbrellacorp

There is a strong correlation between type 2 diabetes from carb overload for vegans. There is little to no correlation from meat consumption to heart disease. That was a myth busted. It is, sadly, normally genetic. Of course, the better health you are in, the less likely you are to get it. Like cancer.

          • Tim242

Meat is loaded with cholesterol. That clogs arteries and causes heart disease. That is a fact. There is a reason Bill Clinton went Vegan after heart surgery. There’s a reason doctors tell people to cut meat when they have high blood pressure.

          • umbrellacorp

That’s PETA propaganda. High blood pressure is often influenced by a variety of other factors, including salt intake. Poor quality meat is often highly salted (bacon is salty, but not poor quality, ohm hom hom). If I eat cholesterol, it isn’t magically translated into cholesterol in my body. There is a correlation between carb consumption and high cholesterol.

          • Tim242

Nothing I said has anything to do with PETA. It has everything to do withwhat doctors and scientists say. Humans are herbivores. People like you will say anything to jjustify eating animal flesh. It’s fatty and full of cholesterol. If humans were meant to eat meat, you could eat it without cooking it, and you’d eat bones and all, just like real carnivores.

          • umbrellacorp

No, humans are omnivores. I didn’t evolve these incisors for chewing leaves.

          • Tim242

Really? Then why does raw meat poison us?

          • umbrellacorp

Raw meat doesn’t poison us. Bacteria in food might. Remember a few years ago when eating raw spinach killed you? It wasn’t the Spinach, it was the E. coli. Food is meant to be cooked no matter what it is.

If raw meat killed you, I’d be dead years ago. Sushi/sashimi, tartare, carpaccio and foie gras. Fresh is best.

          • Tim242

E Coli is the bacteria found in raw meat. The spinach was contaminated by animal feces. Spinach can’t sh*t.

          • umbrellacorp

Wrong on both accounts. Spinach can and it does. It poops within itself.

Plant cells have cell walls which do not permit their large-molecule cellular waste to be excreted. Instead, each cell has an organelle called a vacuole which stores that cell’s waste internally. Hence, this vacuole will get larger and larger over the life of the cell. It will eventually cause that cell to die, but by then, the plant has made plenty of other cells, so it’s fine.

Plants poop into their own cells! Every time you eat a plant, you are also eating plant poop! And fun fact: this is what causes the grittiness in pears.

Venus Fly Traps, which, by the way, are meat eating plants. If Venus Fly Traps eat meat, you should, too.

          • Tim242

Plants do not produce feces, which is the culprit of the E Coli that infects plants.

          • Guest

Clinton was overweight (not obese, but overweight) at 6’2 and 236 lbs. I seem to remember him being one of the presidents that was all excited about being caught eating at McDonalds (???).

He also suffered from gastrointestinal issues which required him to steer clear of high fatty foods.

            Not a very good example.

But I will give you the rest (ish). 🙂

        • TalonDesigns

I’m going to go back and play with the candy bar.

  • New_Guy

Maaaan, that candy bar looks delicious!

  • StuckOnVerizonForever

almost tried to take a bite out of my moniter, oops

  • I had way more fun spinning around this 3D model than I probably should have.

    • chaitanyak

  • darensdorff

Never knew KitKat made a candy “car”…lol

  • rthvk

Is it weird that I want to eat my Nexus 7 now?

  • Hunter

I just wanna know what’s in kit kat already!! all the speculation is getting me excited!

    • webharsh

      chocolate and wafers !!! 🙂

    • zurginator

My guess? General optimization, a new feature here and there, and that’s about it.

I don’t suspect another major UI transition until 2016 or so, if even that early.

  • Heads up guys, mess with this too long like I did and it might start melting from your computer heating up 😛

    • JamesU513

      Give me a break

      • StuckOnVerizonForever

This will keep going, and be annoying just like fackwors and ron’s iphone mishap.

        • By that logic, he might as well get the joke in now while he still can.

I thought it was funny though 😛

    • chaitanyak

yup its a proper 3d model.. and although webGL is usually pretty light in taking up system resources, i gave this model some heavy lighting and mapping.. which will cause older machines(or machines with older graphics drivers) to noticeably heat up.

      • Damn the old Intel graphics cards haha
