ATT logo

The expansion of AT&T’s 4G LTE network continues today, as the company has announced that another 13 markets will go live across a variety of states. We’re talking new markets from California to Mississippi to Idaho and Kansas. According to AT&T’s website, their LTE network now reaches more than 346 markets, with most of the major cities already taken care of. It’s time now for America’s newly anointed “most reliable” network to start branching out to smaller towns and areas.

The new markets are:

  • Stockton, California
  • Topeka, Kansas
  • Mt. Sterling, Kentucky
  • Laredo, Texas
  • Zanesville, Ohio
  • Coeur D’Alene, Idaho
  • Fort Collins-Loveland, Colorado
  • Vicksburg, Mississippi
  • Medford-Ashland, Oregon
  • Kirksville, Missouri
  • Charlottesville, Virginia
  • Portsmouth, New Hampshire
  • Greenville, Mississippi

Medford Oregon. This is like what, a year after Verizon got it in Medford? AT&T is slow rolling out 4G LTE

That’s right AT&T. Keeeep on going and MAYYYYBE you’ll catch up to Verizon by the end of 2015.

    • Mike

And when they do you’ll feel stupid paying 3× as much for LTE

  • Randy

Lite up some more 4g lte areas in sw idaho!

Say what is the wallpaper shown in that pic? Thanks!

Yea I think AT&T uses a page from Sprints book. They throw LTE on a few towers and then launch the city with spotty LTE. I know here in the Cincinnati area it is like Swiss cheese. There are parts of the major metro area that does not have LTE coverage which really should. I was with Verizon till a couple months ago but switched to AT&T. Quite honestly if they didnt have HSPA+ I would be going back to Verizon. Verizon at least here when they launched the area it all was blanketed with LTE…well at least the metro area.

I hope you’re kicking yourself in the head having switched from Verizon to AT&T.

Consumer Reports rates AT&T the WORST of the 4 big carriers, IN ALL AREAS.

      • dsass600

That’s the biggest BS on earth. Consumer reports can suck it.

Well I can tell you this I work with a company in manufacturing and we have 8 plants and Verizon LTE or CDMA doesn’t work at all. So much for that 700mhz building penetration. I will say just on a phone operational side AT&T works great. Their HSPA+ network works well (in my area). Their LTE here is spotty at best. But what they have HSPA+ is alot faster 5-15 Mbps down compared to Verizon which if you are very lucky you get 800 kps on cdma. I was with Verizon for years and only left because their coverage was lacking at my work. But I will say I did flip alot to 3G on Verizon and hated the download speeds. With AT&T at least I have HSPA+ when I am not on LTE.

I have family that is building a house in a rural area of Ohio. So rural that their neighbors are Amish. I get VZW 4G LTE there….. AT&T has a lot of catching up to do.

    • AT&T

The 31,000 Amish people in Lancaster, PA don’t seem to be having any trouble with their LTE..

  • Yay, Fort Collins!

About 15 years ago I was in Fort Collins visiting a relative on the 4th of July.

They had the absolute best and longest fireworks display I’ve ever seen in my life. Seems like a place I wouldn’t expect great fireworks.

I also stayed in an old hotel up in Estes Park. While there I started hearing strange noises. Soon a maniac was chasing me around with an ax. If I didn’t know better I would swear he looked like a younger Jack Nicholson. “If you are from this area you know what I’m talking about”

I also came upon a small store that sold the best cherry turnovers.

once upon a time i washed a sock and it got clean.

i am almost positive at&t 4glte is still terrible in New Jersey, which is pretty sad considering it is one of the most densely populated states in the country

    • KleenDroid

      At least you have Snooky.

      • Stephen

I hate her so much you don’t even know

        • michael arazan

Snooky is to New Jersey as Herpes are to humans

          • Stephen

I can confirm this is true

    • DMZMAN

Too bad for you. Verizon’s 4G LTE already blankets the state!

      • Stephen

Well luckily I have Verizon :p
My cousin has att and he never has lte

  • Cody

Zanesville Baby! But we’ve had for a couple months now.

  • @bleakneonblack

I live in the 2nd largest Market Area to not have LTE coverage. Getting a little annoying that all of these smaller markets are getting LTE!

    • Michael

Easier and Cheaper to deploy a smaller number of towers.

      • @bleakneonblack

True… of course then then can say they added 30 new markets for the cost it would be to do 1 market. 🙂
