Tuesday Poll: Are You Buying One of the New DROIDs?

DROID Ultra Family

We now have the newest members of the Motorola DROID brand. Verizon announced the DROID Mini, DROID ULTRA and DROID MAXX today in one of the shortest press conferences we have ever seen. The 4.3″ DROID Mini features the same dual-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor and Motorola X8 Computing System found in the ULTRA and MAXX, but only costs $99 on-contract.

The 5″ 720p DROID ULTRA is the thinnest of the bunch, coming in at only 7.18mm thick and costs $199 on-contract. Then there is the 5″ DROID MAXX with a whopping 48 hour battery life and an OLED screen that you can also find in the Ultra. The MAXX will hit Verizon for $299 on-contract, along with the rest of the DROIDS, on August 20. Verizon lists all these phones as launching with Android 4.2 and wireless charging capabilities out of the box.

So that leads us to today’s poll – will you be buying one of the new DROIDs? If rumors are correct, the Moto X is coming just around the corner for $300 off-contract. Do these look enticing in any way?

Maxx looks OK… I’ll be waiting for the X to be unveiled before deciding. I wish the Note 3 would be revealed sooner.

    • James Hill

The Note 3 will be my next phone, not this garbage.

      • awm

All I’ll say is Xperia Ultra

  • Shane Redman

I actually like the Maxx of this…only place they really went wrong (that I can tell so far) are the capasitive buttons and i guess the Kevlar look…but it looks stock enough and side-eying my GNex and it’s extra battery, that 48 hours of life are very VERY intriguing.

  • thelolotov

Need keyboard… Keyboard anyone? Just me and my girlfriend, huh?

    • James Hill

Yeah, a keyboard would be these phones, saving grace. I don’t feel like settling for a crappy Stratosphere II

  • http://www.youtube.com/lordstickmax LordStickMax

You’re missing moto x. I bet over half the no’s are waiting on the X

    • Tim

Right now the only thing that we have to hope for about the Moto-X is the pricing of $300 off contract… well the looks and on screen buttons are a definite plus. Also if it is unlocked….it is hard to believe that Verizon will let this phone go off contract for $300…the suspense is killing me…Aug 1st can’t get here soon enough!

  • http://randomphantasmagoria.com/ Shawn

Thank God these threads aren’t indicative of the smartphone-buying public as a whole.

  • Sqube

Actually, I… think I’ll be leaving for T-Mobile. My contract is up in August.

  • Bionic

    No

  • chris

Buy maxx for 300, sell ultra for 500, buy moto x for 300, make 200. Boom.

    • Chris Hannan

      Lose unlimited data.

  • boybert

Other: “Maybe, but waiting to see Moto X first”

  • chris

Can’t wait to see how this x8 does. If it’s half as good as they’re hyping, I might be getting an X.

  • kirk ngo

Wow the no interest poll is shocking never though it would be so much more. I vote for that too. Moto x somewhat but so not so much

  • Brandon Golway

If I was still on Verizon and the S4 wasn’t an option than maybe I’d get the Maxx

  • EvanTheGamer

No, not interested in any of them.

But I will be getting the SGS4 mid-Aug! Can’t wait!

    • Brandon Golway

You won’t be disappointed buddy! Easily the best Android device I’ve ever used in my life (3 phones and 2 tablets).

      • EvanTheGamer

Excellent! I’ll be going to the SGS4 from my always great Galaxy Nexus, so this will definitely be a very nice upgrade. I am seriously looking forward to taking that baby out for a spin in Aug!

        • Brandon Golway

That’s exactly what I did too lol When I first got it and used it I was like “Damn this is fast! Even loaded up with TouchWiz bloat!”. Turn that bad boy into the Google Edition and you have the FASTEST vanilla Android ROM that you’ve ever used in your life. It lacks the customizations of true AOSP though :-/

    • Mike

I have the S4 Active, Amazing phone. My girlfriend has the regular S4 Nice phone as well. Can’t go wrong.

      • EvanTheGamer

I heard about the SGS4 Active, and that it’s water proof. Have you taken it out for a swim yet? haha jk

        • Mike

I actually do have a few under water pics ha

          • Albert Reyna

The active actually looks nicer than the s4, i just can’t remember if the specs are same…

    • Dude

I went from the Bionic to the S4. I love it. Best phone I have ever used :) The screen and camera are amazing.

      • EvanTheGamer

That’s great to hear, man! I was a bit concerned with the SGS4’s camera as I’ve heard that it isn’t as great at taking pictures at night versus the HTC One, but hey, it’s still way better than my Galaxy Nexus’s camera which is at a measly 5MP. Can’t wait to test it out!

  • Uncle paul

Note 3 ftmfw – Or even One max, (but will take 10 years to come to vzw if ever.)

  • Wolfpack93

Honestly, I have yet to find a new phone that interests me over my 19-month old Rezound running AOSP 4.2. I so *want* to drool over something new, but nothing is jumping out at me.

    • mustbepbs

The Rezound was such a nice phone. I really don’t blame you. Out of the 3 that came out then (Rezound, GNEX and RAZR), that was definitely my favorite.

    • jose

      Still rocking mine.

  • fillyo75

Locked bootloader and no microSD are a deal breaker, plus the screen and processor, while probably adequate, contribute to the big NO.

  • Jeremy Martin

Why they went back to that type of navigation type I will never know. I thought soft keys were going to be the future for Moto since the HD had them.

  • RoadsterHD1

Can we connect a USB directly to the new Droid phones and use it for additional storage?

  • Eric

No way in hell looks ugly and 720p. No thanks thats not an upgrade from my GS3.

    • RoadsterHD1

Yes it is. Just the processor is a huge upgrade.

      • Eric

I’m not gonna upgrade for something I don’t even fully use. The screen I look at alot but I’m not using the full power of the processor everyday. Also I have yet to see a moto phone with the looks or screen I like.

      • Eric

The processor is also a very very minor upgrade.

      • LiterofCola

You can’t show people what they don’t want to see

        • RoadsterHD1

          True True…..

  • chris kilps

Going wait for the moto x. See no advantage of getting droid anymore.

  • mustbepbs

These aren’t the DROIDs I’m looking for.

    • Brandon Golway

I was waiting to see that!

  • Matthew Dickinson

Why not of put the Moto X as an option in the survey, more likely to spend my money on that.

  • Steve Benson

Not shocked by the poll one bit. Virtually no interest in Droid anymore.

    • LiterofCola

By this small minority, not the American public.

      • Steve Benson

        Go drink a LiterofDrano troll

        • Albert Reyna

          he is right though.

  • hippos

There should always be an “I hate Verizon, switching to T-Mobile” option in these polls.

    • Alex Goings

How about an option that says “I constantly say that I’m going to switch off of Verizon but will inevitably end up staying.”

      • LiterofCola

        I lol’d

      • michael arazan

I think we’ll all be gone if they ever take away Grandfathered unlimited away, for $30 a month, no caps on speed, granted my speed has gone from 18/15 to 8/3 after a year and a half

        • Dro

Was told by Verizon rep today that grandfathered plan is no more if you take a phone upgrade. Only way to keep it with a new phone is to byod.

    • jakthebomb

Exactly what I did. I was a Verizon Wireless guy for 2 1/2 years. I switched and bought a HTC One. My first Android device. So far T-Mobile is great. I get LTE everywhere I was getting Verizon LTE service. No contract and I got the Jump Plan.

      • James Hill

        Nice story.

      • sog805

        t-mobile employee?

        • jakthebomb

Nope, just a legit consumer. Don’t believe me look up jakthebomb on youtube. You will then know what I am all about.

  • sdny8

I’d have $600 on my CBC right now for a Google edition of the maxx

  • MyStroPro

If i get one, its obviously the Maxx. LOL.

  • MagicMike Kelley

If I were to go for one it’d be the MAXX, but I don’t see it being worth it. I pick up my S4 next Wednesday.

  • Daniel

I would if one was a Droid 5 with a qwerty keyboard :-

  • phonegeneration

Waiting to see if I can buy the Moto X 32gb for $350 off contract for Verizon and then add a Moto 3500mAh “extended” battery for $100 or less which would save me $200 than the Verizon branded phone.

  • Tim242

    Ugly. Underpowered. Overpriced. Puke.

  • arparaspolo

As long as it still has the “Concert” mode in the video recording settings that was on the razr maxx I am in. I now have a GS3 and truly miss that mode and also smart actions.

  • Caleb Loop

I have a confession… I seek out these polls just to say No/none of the above.

  • Elucid

720p and and Dual Core, those are amazing specs…. LAST YEAR!

  • Iron_Catastrofe

Set on the Maxx, but I’m ready to see some face to face usage of the phone first

  • http://www.scaryuncledevin.com/ Devin Rodriguez

Even if I was interested, I’m on T-Mobile and unless something drastic changes with Verizon and their pricing, I’m not going back to them.

  • JT

I wish verizon would say something about the HTC One already

    • David Narada Brown

they will no that they have their flagship phone out of the way!

      • n900mixalot

hahaha, WHO ARE YOU SEDUCING W/ THAT PICTURE?!

        • James Hill

The future Mrs. Brown, would be my guess.

        • David Narada Brown

          Lol! Google + profile pic

          • n900mixalot

Ha ha ha I know it! I don’t remember the name of the movie but it was funny as hell.

  • @GoogleGoliath

Is there a stronger option than “No”?

  • SmokeNMirrors

Seems like the Ultra is just a chunkified Moto-X with a little larger display and kevlar. I don’t see spending an extra $300 for that if the Moto-X is truly $299 and has kevlar as an option. Fooey!.

    • Tim

I don’t believe that the Moto-X will be $300 off contract (as much as I want it to be). It doesn’t make sense for Verizon who is going to want to push the Droid branding. If the Moto-X really is just as good as these phones with just not quite the battery life as the Maxx…who in there right mind would buy these phones and stay on contract!? I’m surprised they are officially announcing the Moto-X on Aug 1st…this will ultimately take away from their Droid sales (which I don’t think they would want to do) They will shun the Moto-X and the HTC One. Sorry so lengthy.

      • LionStone

I don’t know, I think people will upgrade to the new Droids all day long on price point alone (for the Mini and Ultra and battery life for the Maxx). Immediately many will look at the 299.00 price point and turn away, those that want the most battery life will gladly pay more and those that want the style of the X will get that…I think it will be an even playing field.

        • Tim

I agree…I bet the Mini will be a big hit for the price point. But for $100 more the Moto-X will be about the same phone as the Ultra and give you freedom of no contract. I just can’t wait to hear more about the Moto-X…getting really tired of the Gnex.

      • SmokeNMirrors

Yeah, my biggest fear after seeing this launch is that the rumors for a $299 Moto-X are wrong and it winds up being $499…

  • n900mixalot

    Ouch.

  • http://thebeeobee.com/ thebeeobee

Definitely getting a Maxx if Verizon still offers their 12 month payment plan on August 20th.

  • leetusername

Does it count if I am the cell guy at work, and the Razr M is out current standard? The Mini looks like an obvious buy for our needs.

  • MichaelFranz

I’m voting yes right now, for the Maxx, and only because we have no official X annoucement. I think my decision might be made after august 1

  • Albert Reyna

I actually…kinda..sorta like em but im on ATT so no, rather have the Moto X

  • Good_Ole_Pinocchio

Where he HELL is the HTC ONE? That’s my question. I guess that AUG 1 date is being shot down…just like every other leaked Verizon device date. It never holds up.

    • http://thebeeobee.com/ thebeeobee

It’s an HTC phone, who cares.

      • Drome

lots of people. it is the best phone on the market right now by far.

        • http://thebeeobee.com/ thebeeobee

haha yeah so was the thunderbolt at one point. It’s a terrible company that makes crap phones.

          • Drome

you are so ridiculously misinformed. The thunderbolt was a mess but that was a few years ago and it was rushed out to be the first phone with LTE. The HTC One is an entirely different generation of phones. One you should definitely consider as it has gotten amazing reviews across the board and is the fastest and best designed phone on the market. Especially the GE edition

          • http://thebeeobee.com/ thebeeobee

The google edition was trashed by Mashable. Missing a lot of the features which made it a unique doorstop.

          • Drome

since when has mashable been a good source for news about android? I converted my carrier One into a GE edition, it is the best phone i have ever owned or seen by a factor of 100x. The only thing it is missing from sense is zoe and blinkfeed, (edit and IR blaster). I have the sense camera app and boomsound still.

Regardless of your clear bias, if you cannot admit that it is one of if not the best phones out right now you are kidding yourself. 1080p screen, great battery life, SD 600, all metal design, unlockable bootloader, ample memory options and despite the nonsense you have read, a great camera. If you prefer samsung fine, but if you dont admit this phone is #2 you are a complete troll.

          • http://thebeeobee.com/ thebeeobee

I don’t prefer Samsung. I prefer MOTOROLA…that’s what this thread is about, troll.

But Samsung is the market leader and trounces HTC. Not sure how that is debatable. You can defend your poor purchase choice all you want, but you got a metal iphone wannabe piece of crap.

          • Drome

yea, im a troll.. look at how this convo started and look who is using logic and rational discussion and not emotion based attacks on a flagship smartphone released by a company other than the one you “prefer”.

how any one can claim that motorola is making better phones than HTC these days is beyond me. That doesnt even pass the laugh test man. The CEO of moto said himself this line of droids “lacks the wow factor that google is known for”. The moto X might be the first moto phone in a long time that is actually worth anything but it isnt even released yet.

          • jnt

Hopefully you’re not using one single device (the Tbolt) to judge the entire HTC lineup? The Inc and Inc2 were awesome in their time, the Sensation, One X, and One S were all extremely solid (and dev friendly) devices as well. HTC’s problem was and is a lack of good marketing, which they’re trying to change with the One. Have they made a few crap phones? Sure… but so has Moto, Samsung, LG, etc. Apple is the only one that I would say hasn’t made a “crap” phone for its time, but they only make one phone, so that always helps…

          • Mike

Silly fanboy making stupid comments when he clearly knows nothing of what he speaks. The TB was rushed to launch to be the 1st LTE phone, many companies have made flops/mistakes.

        • Tim242

What? Are you serious??? Huge bezels, horrible battery life, and horrible camera. The S4 is far better.

          • DashShrion

            Haaaaaaaa.

          • jose

            Here comes the megapixelman.

          • Tim242

There’s a reason every single reviewer says the S4 takes the best overall pics, with the greatest detail…

          • jose

Bullsh1t. I’ve seen the photo comparisons.

          • Tim242

You must be looking at them from under a rock.

          • jnt

Just to back you up a bit…

I’ve had the S4, HTC One, and iPhone 5 and used them extensively. The S4 definitely outperforms in picture quality – both in the “quick shots” and the shots that are more setup. The 5 is still faster in terms of auto-focus. The One is solid, but the low light “benefit” was not enough to make me like it’s camera over the other 2. The iPhone 5 on iOS 7 is a whole other story – they’ve tweaked the software and really improved what it can do, and sped it up – it will definitely contend with, or outperform (except for megapixel-intense shots) the S4.

          • Drome

and like clockwork, the samsung fan boy troll has appeared to spew incoherent nonsense in order to establish his personal bias and misguided preferences.

          • Tim242

You are calling me a troll. Hmmm The person I replied to was trolling a Moto thread with HTC junk.

          • James Hill

Yes, I think the S4 is a better phone, but the One is a really great phone. In low light situations, the One’s camera outperforms the S4’s. For you to make a statement about the One having a “horrible” camera, means the S4 has a worse than “horrible” camera, but yet the S4 is “far better”?

          • Tim242

Unlike most of these trolls, I actually get outside often. I judge cameras by normal pictures, not by how good it takes pictures in mom’s basement.

          • James Hill

You live with your mom? That’s cool. I love my mom too, but I don’t think I could live with her. Oh, I don’t think were all taking pictures in basements, BTW. I like to take pictures at night, and I like to take them outside too. I know I’m in a Moto thread, don’t even get me started about the POS cameras that were in my, Droid, Droid 2, Droid 3, Droid 4, and the phone that made me hate Motorola: the Droid Bionic, not to mention it’s horrible display.

          • Tim242

For great low light pics on the S4 : )

          • LionStone

Still just a f/2.2 aperture on the S4…even the Inc 4Glte has a f/2.2 and that came out a year ago…sorry mate. Both take decent pictures though ;)

          • LiterofCola

            Yep

      • Good_Ole_Pinocchio

Read my post again. I care. And so do many people if you read the average tech blog….

        • http://thebeeobee.com/ thebeeobee

Weird, i read the average tech blogs and all I see is Nexus and Moto news. HTC is dead in the water.

          • Mike

Then you don’t know how to read, Most every site is spilt between the S4 or HTC One as the best phone available. ..idiot

          • http://thebeeobee.com/ thebeeobee

The Butterfly S, however, might be good. Have to get my hands on one to find out.

          • http://thebeeobee.com/ thebeeobee

HTC One battery keeps it from being a serious contender. And the S4 is laggy. Weird that any publication would make those claims.

          • jose

Since when does being in the “news” = superior? S4 and the One rule the game right now. Don’t be a toolbag.

          • http://thebeeobee.com/ thebeeobee

S4 rules “the game”. I mean, other than the iphone. One is a pretender, braj.

          • James Hill

I’m guessing from your post that your an iPhone user.

          • NorCalGuy

Lolz look how hipster he is in his photo haha

          • onDroid

That’s because the device has already launched. What’s to report now?

      • mustbepbs

I don’t know, brah, my DNA is loads better than my wife’s GS3.

        • LionStone

…and gives the S4 a run for it’s money…that’s the funny part because it came out 8 mos ago! :)

          • n900mixalot

Does it have Sense 5.1 yet? [not being sarcastic, just being lazy]

          • LionStone

No it does not…but even still, it runs so tight and fast on 4.1.1, 4+…when it gets updated it’ll be nice but right now it not a big deal to me.

          • mustbepbs

No, but there are tons of Sense 5 ROMs that are super stable.

    • DashShrion

Seeing as how the DNA has gotten 0 love from Verizon so far, I’m not holding my hopes up for the One.

      • http://thebeeobee.com/ thebeeobee

Yeah, well HTC screwed Verizon with the POS Thunderbolt, Rezound and Incredible. I don’t blame them.

I also feel terrible for the consumers that got stuck with the ONE X that couldn’t even multitask. HTC will be gone before long, luckily.

        • DashShrion

I love the DNA from a hardware standpoint…. just took some custom ROMs to fix their issues. The J-Butterfly already has a 4.2.2 ROM out and in the works and who knows when the DNA will get it? Conversely the fricken BIONIC (which got a ton of crap when it launched) has been supported all the way from 2.3 to 4.1.2. I’m assuming these will at least have longevity as well.

          • DashShrion

Should mention that’s and update* and not a ROM for the Butterfly.

        • James Hill

I agree with you about the HTC One on Verizon. It’s the holiday season, and if the One is released among the Q4 phones being released on Verizon, it will look limp among new, faster phones. I don’t agree with your sentiment about HTC being dead however. The Droid DNA and the HTC One (when they were released) were the turning point for HTC. HTC has a good comeback streak going, you are just being a hater.

        • Alex Goings

Just gonna throw it out that when the original Incredible was released it was the top of the market… On verizon it was either that or the DROID X. I agree that the Incredible 2 and Incredible 4G were dirt.

        • jnt

You can’t blame the Tbolt all on HTC – Verizon’s network was NOT ready when it was released – eHRPD and the authentication needed to easily switch between 3G / LTE was crap at the time. The Tbolt couldn’t do anything about that.

    • Justin W

Alternatively, I’m betting it holds up but gets no special mention from Verizon other than a press release (any bets on number of paragraphs?). That’ll be the big notification they said they would provide us.

  • Ryan

Personally, these phones look real nice, but I’m not actually interested in these. Think I’ll wait and see what Motorola has up their sleeves for the Moto X since I’m looking forward to it and how once can customize. Already got a few ideas in my head depending on their color options.

  • StankyChikin

I wouldn’t say that I’m not interested in them but no I won’t be buying one of them.

    • Sirx

Quadruple negative! ERROR. ERROR. *head explodes*

      • James Hill

That’s what happens when phones of such crappy proportions are released. It’s not that I don’t, but no, I won’t; these new Droid phones are a Joke.

  • DashShrion

Not sure yet. Waiting to see if the Moto X uses the 8X architecture as well (which is most likely does) as well as waiting to see what real-world performance is like as well as battery. User experience is much more important than raw specs and if Moto really has a winner with this 8X thing, I’m down… My DNA has better specs in almost all regards, but if this works better in real usage, I might be interested.

    • droidrazredge

hahah I asked this same question in the other post lol. I’m wondering the same thing about these X8 and until benchmark software can accurately depict what they truly are what will the performance be.

      • DashShrion

Yeah, right now it benches about the same as the DNA, but what does that matter? If it’s that much more usable and efficient then it’s a worthwhile upgrade. There’s no denying that a “snappier” feeling phone can be just as important. I’ve seen a Galaxy S4 chug in the weirdest places and if Moto’s splitting of tasks lead to something overall better, then I might be along for the ride…. even if I am a little concerned about ditching the DNA’s crazy good screen.

        • droidrazredge

What do you think software wise will be different in the Moto X versus these phones ? or do you think the main selling point the price and everything else about the phone will the same as these droid.

    • Weber

      X8*

      • DashShrion

        Er. Yeah. That.

Small difference, I know, but I just wanted to clarify.

      • Elliot Kotis

        What is this X8 architecture?

  • Charlie R.

I bet these phones will end up being Verizon’s X Phones for a while. I know a different one passed through the FCC, but that doesn’t mean much. If Verizon does see the Moto X, it won’t be for a while (HTC One anybody?) and it won’t be available off-contract for $300, IMO. They are going to push these new Droid phones for a while.

    • MichaelFranz

yea but i think the model numbers for moto x were different when they did pass through. i dont remember

  • imHOWIE

They’re going to need better specs to get me to buy one. Don’t put out phones that are worse than phones from months ago and expect me to get them.

    • Dominick White

Dont you k ow spec’s dont matter, or thats what the moto/Google fanboys will tell ya, yet call other phones sh*t cause they dont have the top specs

      • James Hill

Remember, it’s the UI optimization that really makes the difference… Oh wait, I thought I was talking about the iPhone for a second.

      • Elliot Kotis

QQ more. You a samsung fanboy. Has the fastest/biggest CPU, still lags like crazy (had an S3, lagged like a fricking iPhone 3G)

        • Dominick White

you are so funny.. why would you think i was a samsung fanboy?, i dont even own any samsung products

          • Elliot Kotis

because you are bloody arguing like it.

          • Dominick White

Relax little boy, i didnt mean to hurt your feelings

          • Elliot Kotis

Mate, I don’t care. I am Australia, we say bloody every sentence.

  • onDroid

There should be a ‘Waiting for Moto X’ option

    • MotoX_vs_MotoMaxx

or maybe a “Waiting to see how the Moto X stacks up first before deciding.”

      • onDroid

        Yeah, that’s what I meant

      • jose

That’s what I’m doing. If it blows I’m going with the One.

        • onDroid

I would suggest checking out the device in person. It seems like Moto is really going for user experience and not pure specs with this X8 architecture and screen tech. It’s believed the Moto X will be similar in both regards. If this is true the Moto X will be much better in hand than it is on paper.

          • jose

Yeah…Android’s come a long way so I’m not too worried about specs these days. Most phones are pretty well matched. These days there’s just a few things I care about in a phone: Camera comes first, then display followed by battery life/size.

          • Shane Redman

Not trying to sound like “that guy” here, I’m merely curious, but if a camera is that important, couldn’t you just get a good point-and-shoot?

          • jose

I’m not a fan of having a separate point-n-shoot. I just want a really good cell phone camera for when I don’t feel like lugging around my “real” camera :)

          • Shane Redman

I was so jealous!!!……………till i saw the nikon logo on the strap X-P…..just kidding, that’s awesome!

          • jose

Haha Canon?? Get out. Now. ;)

          • TylerCameron

Nah Sony cameras are the best :3

          • http://www.vinsonimages.com yamaha83

plus one for you! even though the camera brand really doesn’t matter! lol

          • TylerChappell

omg. Camera porn. I love it. Which one is that? I have the D7100.

          • jose

It’s the older D90. I’m due for an upgrade!

          • TylerChappell

            Nice, and what lens!?

          • jose

            That’s the 70-200mm f/2.8. I also use the 17-55mm f/2.8

          • Wow

            Someone’s compensating for something.

Would you like some camera with your lens, sir? :P

          • jose

Yeah…compensating for not being able to afford the 600mm!

          • bre

The Sony Xperia Z has an amazing camera on it, and supposeslg they are already making a Xperia with a 20MP camera

          • Dave

I’d have to see how the X8 affects performance, since SD800 devices @ 2.0-2.4 ghz and 3 GB RAM will be hitting by Q4. Can’t imagine myself being happy with one of these Droids 6 months from now.

        • Tom

HTC One or Moto X.. I think a lot of us are in that boat.. no?

          • Albert Reyna

            yesh :B

          • Elliot Kotis

Isn’t it funny, not many people say S4.

      • LiterofCola

Can’t beat that battery for me. Already pre-ordered the Maxx

        • Elliot Kotis

Battery life isn’t determined n how big the battery is, it is a lot of other things, how many pixels, type of screen, amount of ram, how well it multi-tasks, how the CPU is clocked, how many cores, bloatware (maxx would have more than the Moto X), etc.

    • j

      Yup.
even though these phones look pretty sweet, my interest in $600+ off contract phones with locked bootloaders is non-existant.
