AT&T Offering Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 for $199.99 When Bundled With a Smartphone

For anyone who was waiting anxiously for the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 with LTE, which I’m not sure is a lot of people, AT&T has a new deal to make getting your hands on the device a little easier. For a short time, if you buy a new phone and plan through AT&T, you can grab the Note 8.0 for $199.99 as part of the deal. The phone choices available to be bundled are limited to the Samsung Galaxy S4, Samsung Galaxy S4 Active, or Samsung  Galaxy Note II.

Not mentioning the fact that you are paying for a 2 year contract, the Note 8.0 is an attractive device. A 1.6GHz quad-core processor, massive 4,600 mAh battery and Android 4.1 make a decent spec sheet for a tablet. If you still aren’t sure, check out our hands-on with the device before you make your decision.

The Note 8.0 goes on sale June 21.

    Getting me one

  • Froosh Freak

    Wait… You mean this ISN’T a smartphone?

I wonder how many people are going to get this deal and buy a G-Note 2.

  • Geoff Johnson

So you need a 2-year contract on the tablet as well?

  • r0lct

If the tablet doesn’t require its own contract that’s a good deal.

    • $199 is most certainly a contract price.

    • Blue Sun

The way I read it is that the Tablet comes with 4G LTE connectivity & therefore would require a contract at the above mentioned price.

      • r0lct

I wasn’t sure. Verizon is running a $100 promo on Samsung tablets when purchased with a Samsung Note 2 or S4 that doesn’t require a contract (on the tablet) so that’s I thought it might be either way.

        • Blue Sun

I could be wrong. It wouldn’t be the first, nor the last…

  • If the non-bundled contract price is $299 or below, I’d be interested in this.

    • Blue Sun

As mentioned in a previous DL article, “The device is already on sale here in America and can be picked up for $399.”

      • Yeah, screw that. $400 for an 8″ WiFi tablet is ridiculous, LTE or not.

        • Blue Sun

Yeah, I laughed a little when I read the regular cost on contract price too.

  • Blue Sun

That physical button drives me bananas.

They should just call it the Samsung iPad Mini and be done with it.

      • Tyler Durden

Amazing that it looks nothing like an iPad mini.

        • michael arazan

Better hardware and software too with the samsung, the ipad mini has worse specs than an ipad 2, for the ipad 2 price equal to a mini you’d be better off.
