Cut the Rope Experiments is the Amazon Appstore’s Free App of the Day

cut the rope experiements

One of the cutest and best-selling mobile games, Cut the Rope Experiments, is free today. This can finally be your chance to help the adorable little Om Nom get his candy if you haven’t had the chance to yet.

The game starts off easy, as you cut the ropes attached to a piece of candy so that it falls into Om Nom’s mouth, but the puzzles are deceptive as you get further into it. The game is easily worth the $0.99 on a normal day, but if you can’t spare the change to play this game, go hit the link below.

The only reason I still have the Amazon App Store is for the ad free versions of Angry Birds and Angry Birds Season which are not available in the play store. Otherwise most of the FAOTDs that were good I ended up buying the play store because they were cheap and I wanted timely updates rather than waiting weeks or more.

I do still keep track of the free app of the day, but I never purchase from Amazon. When the app gets updated in the Play Store (but not on Amazon) I will purchase it there if I’m enjoying it.

The lack of timely updates is ridiculous, they still have the old UI version of Pocket Casts.

I stopped installing the Amazon app store on my devices because updating two app stores and keeping track of which apps were where became a major pain. Not to mention, Google Play is just lights out better in nearly every aspect including navigation, fluidity, etc.

AND…. you actually get TIMLEY updates in the Play Store…. which is the strangest thing to me. Updates take forever to come to Amazon’s store…which is why I stopped using it.

there’s no doubt that the play store is better, but it’s hard to beat free legitimate apps

Amazon’s App Store knocks it out of the park again! Amazon sure is on a role as of late. Maybe tomorrow’s Amazon App of the Day will be good, as well. Three days in a row, do it Amazon!

This reminds me of the very first time the Amazon App store was released. I got some amazing apps for FREE! I know people hate on the Amazon App store, but I check it every day because you never know what might show up.

What were the apps that were good the other past two days ? I thought I looked at the app yesterday and it was a puzzle game like Tetris where you also had to fight monsters.

      • EvanTheGamer

Yesterday I think was 10000000, which is a puzzle/matching type of game.

I got it and it’s pretty neat. I haven’t played a game like that so it was a nice surprise. Graphics are kinda crap though

It was clearly meant to have an old school side scroller feel. I thought it was fairly well done, even though I’m not a big fan of match 3 games.

That’s the whole point, friend. You’ve never played an 8-bit style game before? ;)

          • Raven

Never played an 18-bit game before, that sounds pretty cool, but I grew up playing 8-bit games ;-)

          • EvanTheGamer

lol Oh yeah, 18-bit style games are pretty awesome! It’s a little better than 16-bit style games, but only by about 2 bits.

That’s the name of it! I did not think it was good so I did not download it. Now I wish I would have from the sound of it :(.
