Woot! Selling New Motorola XYBOARDs Starting at $199 [Deal]

Screen Shot 2013-05-20 at 1.32.55 PM

Another day, another Android tablet sale somewhere on the internet. This one is different however, because today Woot! not only has deals on the Motorola XYBOARD tablets, they are new devices. Usually you will see discounted prices on tablets that have been refurbished by one company or another, but these 8.2″ and 10.1″ tablets are new and cheap.

The 16GB 8.2″ WiFi tablet is the cheapest of the bunch at $199, but if you are looking to upgrade to the LTE version it’s only 20 dollars more. If a 10.1″ tablet is more your size, $209 is what it will cost you. These are absolutely the lowest prices you will see on a new Android tablet. Granted the XYBOARD isn’t the best tablet out there (you can read our review), but for this low of price what do you think?

No thanks. I will wait for the YZBoard, but of course they will start at $499 again and let it sit in the store room for 2 years b4 coming to their senses…

I wish they were selling the 10in LTE model

I currently own a Nexus 7 and TF101, but I am looking for a 7-8″ Android tablet that HAS both a MicroSD slot and a HDMI port. This does not appear to be it. Any suggestions?

    • BSweetness

The 7″ Toshiba Thrive is one of the only tablets out there in that screen size range from a major manufacturer that has a both a microSD and a HDMI port (it’s a micro HDMI port).

But Toshiba has completely abandoned their Thrive line.

  • BAZ67

So if I purchase the LTE version I could move my sim card from my phone to the tablet as needed?

    • BSweetness

As long as the LTE SIM card fits (and there are ways of making it fit if it doesn’t on its own), then yes, you should be able to.

  • BSweetness

If you’re looking for a tablet to use in your car as a GPS/media player that has the option of being online with Verizon without needing to connect to a hotspot through another device, the 8.2″ LTE model really isn’t a bad option. Sure it’s not the latest and greatest, but $219 is a good price for one that’s LTE ready. It will easily do everything that would be needed in a car – run navigation apps and play media.

The GSM Nexus 7 is the better option in my opinion for that sort of set up if you have a choice of carriers, but this really isn’t a bad deal on the 8.2″ LTE depending on what you’re looking to use it for.

I’m 2 months off form having my Nexus 10…. I’ll wait.

    • CasperTFG

And a wait well worth it. Install some MC4, buy a MOGA Pro. Nishe.

  • Droid Ronin

Verizon bloatware + stuck on ICS + no custom ROMs = no thanks

  • MichaelFranz

if it was unlockable i’d think about it. I have a xoom, and never have [problems with it, unlocked and ROM’d. I knwo this had a slightly bigger battery, little less bulk, and better screen.

  • S.Scott Turgeon

My Xoom just died after 2 years and that was stock Android running jelly bean this is full of Verizon bloatware running Ice Cream Sandwich it’s a good deal but I wouldn’t want it if you gave it to me let’s be honest.
In my opinion if you don’t have a device running jelly bean then it has no purpose.
I’m a big Motorola fan I think they make horrible decisions on their products Droid Bionic anyone this tablet for instance.
Thyy haven’t made a quad core phone yet but I believe they have some big things coming down the pike,Their cell phones have the best radio reception of any companies I don’t care what anyone says!

    • Sid

Stay tuned! Some awsome Motorola products are in the pipeline 🙂

  • Bionic_Pags

This is a deal? I wouldn’t buy this for 99 cents

    • mcdonsco

Stop being stupid…even the most avid xyboard haters would buy it for 99 cents…

      • coolsilver

Just to watch it get ran over by a truck… sure

        • What a stupid comment.. Sure it’s not a Nexus 7 or 10, but 99cents? I’d buy multiple. Give some to family, myself.. maybe waste one and allow it to get run over. But 99cents for that? Amazing deal. Don’t be a blinded hater.

          • Bionic_Pags

See my comment to mcdonsco, and take a breather.

      • Bionic_Pags

Holy Christ, relax… it’s called an exaggeration. How’s this “This is a deal? I wouldn’t buy it for $99… is that literal enough for you?

  • mcdonsco

I was one of the unlucky few that was an early xyboard adopter…at the time most tabs were around $500+ and this was the only one in the sub 10″ market with decent specs, thin etc…then a few months later, n7 for $199…I was bent. Sold the xyboard for $250 and got the n7…never will pay more than $199 for a tablet again.

  • Steve Benson

Ha, I wouldn’t wish a XYBoard on my worst enemy.

    • Captain_Doug

Why? Mine has been running great.
